Looking for a good Bbq - smoker.

I am considering a pellet smoker at the moment. Roughly how much fuel do you go through in a cook like you've mentioned above?

Looking for a good Bbq - smoker.

If you're going to stick with the Weber for a while, I highly recommend getting yourself an offset plate. https://thequeclub.com.au/products/jgbbqoffsetplate22 (they also make smaller ones if you don't have the 22" full size Weber)

Yep. It wasn't a bad flavour, there was just very little of anything to taste.

Cans > Bottles these days. UV light and beer do not mix and they are much less prone to oxidization than bottles. They're more efficient to transport than bottles as well, being lighter and taking up less room when stacked on top of each other. For me, if I'm at home I'm pouring my beer into a...

Food, Drink & Dining Out Favourite Beer II

I just had one of these. Easily the most uninteresting beer I've ever had with IPA written on the can.

Silent Alarm if you're after something that won't decimate your wallet which actually tastes good, look no further... Brewed by Hawkers, so it's done right. Probably the best value (drinkable) beer in Australia. I generally find it in Adelaide for between $50-$55 a carton. My go to beer...

Food, Drink & Dining Out Favourite Beer II

Carwyn Cellars, Beer Cartel, Bucket Boys are all good. If you're actually in Melbourne, I'd just head to Carwyn and have a look. I just had day 4 of the Carwyn Cellars Canvent Calendar actually. A Brouhaha Cherry Sour. Quite good! The calendar has been great so far. Now on a Belching Beaver...

Food, Drink & Dining Out Favourite Beer II

Can't say I've had a Young Henry's beer that made me want to have another one. Currently drinking an Evil Twin Brewing IPA Kolata. Interesting beer. Brewed with lactose, pineapple and coconut added. It definitely has pina colada flavours and I actually like it. Far better suited to a hot day...

I've been meaning to try that. Speaking of Baltic Porters, I've got an 8 Wired Baltyk Tasman Baltic Porter in the fridge. I think tonight is the night. It's no Founders, but I really enjoyed it.

The other issue is the beers available in the Tap King kegs were s**t.

That's not a bad description for quite a few of their beers, but the Imperial Stout is a cracker, and not for the faint hearted.

I thought it was okay, but I wouldn't buy it again if I were particularly wanting a sour. It really isn't very sour.

Great beer that one! I actually find the IIPA is quite similar to this one, except with a bit more depth in the flavour.

Hawker's new IIPA is really good. Not quite sure how they made a 9% beer so drinkable.

Food, Drink & Dining Out How do you have your steak ?

I tend to plan ahead if I'm having a steak. My favourite cut is rib-eye, which I buy a couple of days before hand, leave it in the fridge uncovered for a day, maybe two (don't underestimate how much this will improve your steak). When it's time to cook, take it out and let it get up to room...

Food, Drink & Dining Out The Scotch thread

The Three Capes is lovely stuff. I gave a nip to a cousin of mine who traditionally HATES whisky, and even he liked it. I'm yet to try the Larks single cask (I've got a tiny 100ml bottle of it stashed for a special occasion) or the Sullivan's Cove American Oak, though I've tried the French Oak...

    Least Favourite alcoholic beverage!

This crap is the reason I thought I didn't like rum for quite some time. One of my favourite spirits these days.

My dad actually lives in Hobart for work these days. Only ever heard great things about Overeem, and I'm planning on visiting the distillery next time I'm over there.

All of the Tassie whisky's I've tried (Lark, Nant, McHenry Three Capes) have been excellent! Sullivan's Cove is certainly on the to drink list.

Food, Drink & Dining Out What did you cook for dinner last night?

Shoulder of lamb slow roasting in the oven right now. 4 and a half hours down, 1 and a half to go. It's smelling pretty bloody good too.

    Aussie with British passport

You can't get an Australian Passport without being an Australian Citizen. I would assume it's the same for Britain. Having both means you have dual-citizenship.
