List Mgmt. 2020: Death Riding Melbourne [NMFC owns MFC's 1st (#9) & 4th (#64) 2020 picks] - Keep Your Eye on the Red and the Blue

I guess when club boards start having death riding threads on opposition teams you are going to get some of those supporters come in and comment. And tbf if you read over the posts I was far from preaching our greatness and was pretty open to our * ups but you can take what you like from it...

List Mgmt. 2020: Death Riding Melbourne [NMFC owns MFC's 1st (#9) & 4th (#64) 2020 picks] - Keep Your Eye on the Red and the Blue

I stopped at 2013 because earlier in the comments chain it was admitted to that our drafting and development between 2007-2012 was horrendous. although now you mention it, getting Viney and Hogan makes that draft look a bit better Laugh as much as you want, doesn't bother me. I'll hopefully...

List Mgmt. 2020: Death Riding Melbourne [NMFC owns MFC's 1st (#9) & 4th (#64) 2020 picks] - Keep Your Eye on the Red and the Blue

Yeah eventually we were bound to get the right people into the club to turn things around getting a couple of top 10 picks and nailing them is so ******* important. Hell even Clarko is starting to realize that To me it looks like North have a lot of AFL standard players but none of that really...

The trade wasn't the best but we were talking about drafting not trading Some of our trading has/is still pretty ordinary

The diversity in the type of player definitely wasn't there But the quality of the players picked has been pretty solid

Not at all. Drafting as a whole has been pretty good over the last 5-6 years Picking up decent players with later picks has been alright for a while it was nailing the top picks that let us done between 08-12

Who is the jury out on? Maybe Brayshaw and Salem to an extent but with 100 odd games under their belt the likelihood of them playing 200 games is pretty high

Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw, Weideman, Jackson & Salem are our only top 10 picks since 2013 2 stars, 2 solid 200+ game players and a young ruckman who has showed good signs early I would say that reads pretty great

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

Possibly, for Norths sake, I hope so. after he left us he went to join the coaching panel at Carlton, so he isn't exactly coming across with a glowing resume.

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

No doubt there were bigger issues at the club. However the recruiter has to share some of the blame when that many first round picks bust. Lucas Cook was a suprise at 12, wasn't expected to go until the late second round. He never played a game and Gysberts was also drafted much higher than...

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

Yep, very true. To be fair Gawn had 2 knee recos, so he was always going to take time. The only players still left on our list are 2008 #1 watts & #51 Jetta (very under rated player). 2009 #2 Trengove #34 Gawn. 2010 #54 T.McDonald (very good pick). 2011 none. 2012 #26 Viney (Fatherson) #48 Kent...

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

He had a reputation for going for athletes with high ceilings over players who were natural footballers. Blease was lightning quick, just couldn't find the football. Strauss was supposed to be a great kick, but we never saw it (he didnt have a bad leg break in his 2nd year though). Toumpas is...

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

he drafted such 1st round stars as Blease, Strauss, Gysberts, Toumpas and Cook (never played a game) who couldn't crack 25 games before being delisted/traded. Add Tappscott (48) to that list of stars as well

    Welcome Barry Prendergast recruiter

I hope he works out well for you guys, but if I was a North supporter I would worry. His track record with numerous high draft picks with us was horrendous. Maybe it was part developmental with the players as well, but when so many first rounders don't make it, the recruiters have to take some...

    AFL: McGuire backs Ballarat games

Look I like the idea of North playing games in Ballarat, however I don't think it will be that easy to convert more people into supporting Nort. Look I have all of my family in the Ballart and surrounding regions and can tell you that there is a high level of support for Geelong. Its the same...

    AFL: McGuire backs Ballarat games

The only problem is converting the people to support North. The Ballarat region is traditionally a Geelong stronghold

Mike Sheehan's mind works in mysterious ways!!!

Essendon beat Geelong last year, did you think they had gone past them when this happened?

Buckley and Laidlaw train with North

Buckley and Laidlaw train with North

I was coming on here to say something positive about North until I saw this stupid post. $100 says we finish above NM in 2010
