Eagles have 4 or 5 players that can rip a defence to pieces. Hawks have probably 2, maybe 3 when Roughead is up and going. I've got money on a Blues/Eagles grannie. This game should tell us a bit about where the eagles really are at.

In terms of Victorian clubs, I think the big 4 clubs are now Pies, Carlton (but would want to win a flag in the next 5 years), Essendon and Hawks. It is a gap Pies to the rest and it is a gap Carlton, Essendon, Hawks to the rest. Bombers will be back to number 2 with a couple years...

Pies will almost certainly be top 4 and strong chance to make GF. But other teams will catch up and quick. We saw StKilda in 2009 introduce a new style of play. Pies took it a step further in 2010. All clubs will be training this type of game plan in the off season and expect a few new twists.
