I think that Naish actually bailed. He is playing for Wangaratta tonight v Wangaratta Rovers in the Ovens and Murray League. LOB is playing for Wang Rovers.
Story in today's border mail that Lochie has signed to play with Wangaratta Rovers in the Ovens and Murray. Also notes that he has been playing in the N.T. and that this year he will complete his university degree in commerce.
Been a few stories in the local media that Naish is going to play full time at Wangaratta in the O & M and not at Carlton. Saw him quoted as saying that he wasnt interested as there were no list spots available.
Think that we can put him down as an official scratching.
Really like the pick. Clearly has ability in an area that we need. He'll now go into a club with great leaders and role models. He gets back to his best and he can be Bailey Fritsch Mach 2.
We all know the answer to that;
If they are injured it's Russell's fault.
If they are fit and playing it is divine provenance and nothing to do with Russell.
Yarrawonga win by 4 points. Jeffy Garlett had a long shot to win it in the last 30 seconds, sadly missed. Stevie J likely to give it a good nudge tonight.
Certainly has. Mark Whiley coached Yarrawonga last year to a narrow grand final loss (against Ben Reid's Wangaratta who were subsequently disqualified for salary cap breaches) but stood down this year with the appointmentof Stevie J.. Mick Gibbons has been at Yarrawonga for 2 years but was...
Following on from above forgot to mention that Connor O'Sullivan is playing for Albury.
198 cm 92 kg defender (has been playing a bit forward in the O & M) who would be a perfect draftee for us this year, but probably won't last to our pick.
Big ex carlton flavour in the ovens and Murray grand final on Sunday. Yarrawonga with Michael Gibbons and Mark Whiley on board take on Albury with Jeff Garlett playing for them.
Yarrawonga coached by Stevie J.
Yarrawonga probably slight favourites.
The funniest part is that the saints traded pick 10, pick 58, a future 2nd, a future 4th and Blake Acres for Brad Hill and a future 3rd.
And Blake Acres is probably currently a better player than Brad Hill . Hill's flag winning exploits are a fair way in the reserves view mirror.
Was on the Sunday footy show this morning. Spoke well, didn't say too much (which is what you want at this time of the year).
Agree with previous poster that I expect him to be better next year with a full pre-season. Nothing worse than recovering from a back whilst trying to play for your career.
Jezza was a different sort of player than Charlie. Jezza was deceptively strong and very hard to take off his feet. Was as good at half forward or in defence. Probably the closest I have seen to him was Gary Ablett snr. Freakish leap and marking ability. Was a bit nonchalant about his footy if...
Not sure that they have any great concessions still. Last year they were made to bid on academy kids as per everyone else. The extra picks they had finished a couple of years ago.
The only ones that they might still have is access to Darwin and 4 extra spots on their rookie list. Can't see if...
Jack was just on the Coodabeens. Playing at Frankston VFA alongside John patton. Lives at Cape Shank and plays golf off 4. Loved playing at Carlton. Talked about that goal, was hoping to kick it to the top of the square till weiters charged up and said that there was only 10 seconds to ho.
Seems to be decent kick already although I guess that they didn't show any bad ones. It's kind of exciting to be able to watch these guys from the start of their journeys.
