Hardwick was invaluable at Hawthorn in an assistant role and we've really missed his input. A lot of Hawthorn people were very surprised we managed to hold onto him for as long as we did. IMHO, he's a career coach, will be a successful one, and Richmond have finally got a good one :thumbsu:

This is not only Richmond we are talking about, but most clubs. If you look at expenditure for all clubs, player payments are only a small % of the total, so surely clubs could look at ways to cut costs .... administrative costs would be a very good place to start, coaching fees would be another.

Well said. When he was with West Coast, other teams had enough trouble trying to quieten the likes of Cousins, Embley and Kerr. Judd was rarely picked up by the opposition's best tagger. Now he's at Carlton, he'll be watched a lot more closely than before.
