You can say that about any trade. I think Kelly was the right move. If we hadn't done it, we'd be sitting here having the opposite discussion i.e. Why weren't WC more aggressive? Why didn't they go and get another top-liner when they were ostensibly in the window?

I'm talking more about draft needs with regard to the midfield. We have very little young depth coming through. So I'm not too fussy about what kind of midfielder but we need to start building a younger core there.

Don't be so precious. I criticise those players all the time. I'm merely asking what positions Richmond need to address/upgrade. IMO small forward is probably second on the list.

Surely Riewoldt has some footy left in him. He's still kicking well over 2 goals per game this year. Basically on par with his career average.
