Haven't played My Player mode yet. Sounds good from what you have written though. Good idea re Franchise which was what i was referring too. I could play this game all day.
Murraj1966 do you play the entire games or skip some innings?
Would be good if you could play a season with games that go for 3 or 5 innings long. I still make little bonehead plays from not knowing all the controls.. so much fun though.
*makes a political statement about the mid-terms.. :p*
Do we know if there will be any tv coverage of the parade? Was in SF for 3 days walking around the city for alot of the time so would be cool to bring back some memories!
Congrats mate, a well deserved win. Was actually hoping Texas would win today to send it to SF (always better winning in front of your fans).
If you can hold onto some of your young players you'll definitely be up there challenging for the next few years.
GWB ftw.
Watched most of the game this morning.. like watching two different games tbh. Hoping Texas win the next game purely for entertainment value.
Oh and **** working tomorrow. Sucks big time.
This shouldnt matter but maybe your tv is different, do you have 'picture overscan' turned to on? Turn it off to slightly zoom out. On a Panasonic it is menu-setup-other settings-picture overscan.
*bites tongue re: Bush comment* :p
Yeah Texas deserved the series win obviously, after game 1 (and stages throughout that game) it always seemed the Yankees were on the backfoot. Their hitters (Cano aside) just couldn't get anything going and they obviously didn't have the quality pitchers...
If the Yankees needed any convincing to go after Cliff Lee in the offseason they shouldn't after watching him work his stuff tonight.
Yankees batting though... ffs swing the bat.
Well this game got interesting!
5-4 top of the 8th... A Rod delievers with a 2-run single and now Cano at bat. wow. fmd and first pitch they give up another run.
5-5 no outs! 2 on!
Another pitching change!
Just watching the Rays replay... "Foster's, Australian for beer". :p
Yankees did well to get away with the win there. Teixeira earned his money. Jeter was alright, still a bit down on form. Hope he re-signs (albeit for less money), can't imagine him in any other uniform.
The whole team has struggled since late August. All is not lost but its not looking good.
Also is that Pitch viewer crap on the right hand side of the screen annoying anyone else? Have a small square of where the pitch went over the plate down the bottom but do they really need that other one...
I just got this today (of course it arrives the exact same day FIFA comes out ) Haven't had a huge chance at playing it yet but my initial thoughts are that it is awesome!
Just getting the hang of hitting, I have the pitching pretty covered. Once I get batting in order I can learn...
We had the sun in our eyes for a first inning or two (6pm start) sitting in row A behind the away dugout..so like flamethrower says avoid the right field seats if you don't want the risk of looking into the sun.
Walking around the ground I liked the view behind the home plate. Left field...
:thumbsu:
The stadium kicks arse btw, I still struggle to see how people can leave a game around the 7th when the game is still very much in the balance. Didn't matter though the atmosphere was amazing, so happy that game was the first live game I saw.
"...root, root, root for the home team...
Loved watching the Sox game today. I just wanna be over there in the stands!
Also lol just went through some old tapes and came across high/lowlights of that Cubs playoff game where the fan (just googled, Steve Bartman) reached out for the ball and screwed the Cubs player (Moisés Alou) from...
But going by Roger Dodger's post, wasn't it was originally listed to be shown on ONE??
I enjoyed watching some of the Dodgers game this morning... especially as its the exact game (same teams/stadium) that I'll be at in May. Hope there are some HR's in that game too...
