Grand Slam Australian Open - Day 4

Hopefully the Kokk can re-focus and finish the match off.

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

Would we have gone any worse with Sharma or Hon in place of Sam? At least it would've been valuable experience for one of them.

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

French pair looking too good, can't see us challenging unfortunately... :(

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

Strange set of circumstances. Was hoping Alja could've beat Garcia, but never would've expected her to have played against such a low ranked player, but glad that we've got a deciding doubles match.

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

Cornet probably would've easily have wrapped this up.
  6. Bleedblueandgold

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

Seems very suss that the much higher ranked Cornet & Ferro aren't playing instead. If Alja does win this, and Barty/Stosur wins the doubles, they only have themselves to blame lol, but who knows, maybe Alja could've beaten those 2 as well.

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

Maybe should've played them on grass.

    WTA Fed Cup 2019

    Barty needs to lift.
  9. Bleedblueandgold

    Davis Cup 2017

Really disappointing result. Was still looking like it was gonna be a big challenge even after we went up 2-1. Home ground advantage and the clay surface probably pushed them over the line.

Davis Cup 2016 Australia v USA March 4th-6th

Hopefully Kyrgios will be fine, if so, it should be him and Tomic in the singles. Not sure who will partner Groth, probably Peers, but iirc, we've rarely brought in specialist doubles players since the Woodies, except for Guccione, who started as a singles player, so we might throw in Millman or...

Kyrgios: "I actually don't like tennis"

Exactly, her comments were inexcusable, she should never have brought ethnicity into it, I hope that she makes a more sincere apology by admitting that that it was wrong to single out a person's ethnicity in regards to their apparentl 'un-australian" behaviour, but not holding my breath.

    2015 Wimbledon

At least he's seem to be a much better player than Guccione, who can only really play doubles. Not sure if he can get past Wayne Arthurs though.

Favourite Aussie male player at the moment?

Kokkinakis, followed by Hewitt and Kyrgios.

    2015 Wimbledon

Still a huge effort to take a set away from Fed, even if it's on the back of a double fault.
