Seems that players who did their due diligence are much more understanding than those who didn't listen to the TA advice and are now falsely complaining the rules were changed on them.
This is so easily disprovable that it baffles me why it seems to catch on.
Same as the myth about night sessions when compared to other top players like Djokovic and Nadal.
Underarm serve is fine IMO. More players should do it against Rafa considering how ridiculously far he stands back to return serve.
I don't like him tkaing injury timeouts so often though.
It's an unfounded conspiracy. Can't remember where, but last year someone actually did a comparison because of how much is made of Federer apparently getting a dream run with night sessions and his day/night splits at the AO were essentially the same as Nadal/Djokovic over the past decade.
How often have any of those guys dropped a match to someone in the 17-32 range at a slam? The more even the field is the more impact the number of seeds has (so I do understand talking about it now that none of those guys are at their peak). For most of the past 15 years there could have been...
I kind of agree with this, only in the sense that his game is rock solid so if he plays one of the big hitters and they have an off day he is right in it.
On the flip side, even when he gets older/bigger/more powerful I think he will still play a lot of matches where the game isn't on his racquet.
Anyone able to watch the match? I had to be at work unfortunately.
Considered the same Masters event for these purposes as Madrid because that's essentially what it switched to. Old Madrid then became Shanghai.

Wikipedia (I know...) credits him with all 9 event slots. Seems like the Grand Prix series chopped and changed a lot in what it considered its Super Series each year so sometimes there were more than...
Hmmm. Can't win em all but I like McEnroe, Courier and Dokic which is more than I can say watching a lot of sports. Hopefully the hosts are really just hosting, not the quasi commentary role that the likes of Basil had at 7.
I've been all for a changing of the guard for a while now, but when the big 4 play each other in big matches I'm reminded how they elevated tennis. It's hard to see tennis getting back to this level, especially consistently, for a generation at least. Have to enjoy it while it lasts.
