    US Open 2014

There is one thing that really bugs me at this slam, the deciding set tie-break.

2014 ATP World Tour 250/500 series

Apparently after winning that set Bernie decided to throw a street party......Sadly that's how far he's fallen in my estimation.

    2013 Australian Open

He's actually got to make it to the start line first (which I doubt personally), and even then I think it will be the other way around.

    2013 Hopman Cup

Ten took a leaf out of 7's cross-promotion vehicle plugging shows between games in the Men's match. They've also pinched the BBC's graphics.....

You'll find that Matt(hew) White will probably do night sessions now that he's quit Today Tonight.

Lleyton Hewitt has no intention of retiring in 2013

When he gets knocked out in R1 of the Aus Open and loses a lot of his ranking points, then will he reconsider?

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

Aren't they the same thing? Certainly wouldn't be high enough for Challenger that's for sure.

    2012 Australian Open: Part 2

So how will this win affect Hewitt's ranking, just out of interest?

    2012 Australian Open: Part 2

Another chance to close it out.

    2012 Australian Open: Part 2

Raonic is tiring, Hewitt making a few big shots here and there but the tiredness and tightness of the Canadian is being the real factor here.

    2012 Australian Open: Part 2

Bruce wondered who would win between the Missile (Raonic) and the Scud (The Poo)? Any takers on who might win?
  12. S

    2012 Australian Open: Part 2

Errors from the Raonic side will determine this. If they are kept low then the Canadian will win.

I take that back...Carsten Ball's into the last round. FINAL MENS QUALIFYING ROUND Molchanov vs (28) Serra Gojowczyk vs de Bakker Udomchoke vs Polansky Mertens vs (20) Golubev Sijsling vs (32) Ward Guez vs Galung (7) Lacko vs (25) Bubka BALL vs Kudia Smyczek vs (22) Zopp (11) de...

Anyone give Harrison a chance of beating Murray?

    2012 Australian Open

Knowing the luck of many Aussic WC's she'll play on Laver on night 1 or 2 and get blasted by someone like Serena Williams. Only Luczak of the Aussie men made it through the first qualifying round.

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

Hopefully the problems that have seen Raonic (replaced by Nishikori on Thursday) and Tsonga withdraw from matches at Kooyong aren't too serious (Tsonga's apparently just buggered), not that it's gonna affect the final on Saturday.

    2012 Australian Open

If the 22nd seed is who I think it is, how much time flies by to see a couple of finalists at this tournament in the past have to qualify for the tournament. I too am not expecting any Australian male (or female) to make the field through qualifying.

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

Maybe so, but given nobody else has won the tournament outside of those 3 since Safin beat Lleyton in 2005 why change?
  22. S

    Hopman Cup

So it's the Czechs vs the French in the final, a Bartoli win in the women's singles could be the best hope for the French as I think Berdych will beat Gasquet. And Mardy Fish was pretty aggrieved by something the Bulgarian opponent may or may not have done it appeared.

    Hopman Cup

Is it just me or does this tournament show that the blokes are s***house at mixed doubles?
  24. S

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

    Double to concede the match.

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

Bernard won't go far if he continues the heavy reliance on the backhand slice/drop shot. Still thanks to Benneteau's dodgy calf he's close to getting out of this one.

2012 ATP World Tour 250/500 series (inc. AAMI Classic etc)

Breaks back thanks to placement, 3-3 in the 3rd.

The "Let's not keep Sport Free" Thread

The review hasn't gone through Parliament yet, and may not do so for a while because of the floods and associated spending announcements.

    2011 Australian Open - Part 2

Fun fact for tomorrow to consider....it's been 12 years since Xavier Malisse has beaten Roger Federer. It's also been the only time out of 8 tries that the Belgian has beaten the world #2.
