Cripps has been successfully tagged in the last few weeks by Steele, Clarke and De Boer.
Though tbh our whole team was down in those games and Cripps clearly had the coaching drama with Bolton on his mind...no way a second gamer like Clarke could stop Cripps if he was in the right mindset...
I don't watch your games that often but can't understand the criticism he's received from this game.
True i don't recall seeing anything outstanding from him, but he had a solid game to me. Don't remember any bad errors.
Seemed to stick to McGovern who wasn't in the play all that much, just...
Actually your stat there proves the 'bounce' after changing a coach DOES exist.
For a club to sack a coach mid-season, it's very likely that the team has lost at least the last 5+ games in a row, with some thrashings along the way. Often the players drop their effort and look completely...
He could be right.
But Teague would have had to set up the forwards to try to match Bolton's overall game style...and Bolton ultimately gets the final say. I think one of his issues was being too controlling and potentially could have overruled Teague on some set ups.
We'll see if it actually...
Same interpretation I had...as in she was upset that dayne was going on holiday without her and in her opinion he didn't seem to care or would miss her or their son while away.
And that one reason is because he's been talking to this other girl.
True, different people react differently.
May not affect him one bit, who knows he might be happier not in that relationship.
Just pointing out there have been plenty of players in the past who have suffered form dips during a period of personal issues.
Yeah you could probably pick up 1 or 2 with your later first round picks as well.
I think Rayner would be the right choice for you guys. Seems to be rated as the best talent in the draft by almost everyone, looks like a competitor, game-changer and apparently is a outgoing personality which...
Definitely...Cameron played terrible for most of 2017 under the stress of his future...literally only played about 5 good games. Chances are he'll be even worse next year if he's still there...they should trade now, maybe haggle for pick 18 rather than 20 which i think is what's on offer. I...
Adelaide have taken over Essendon's mantle as being the most difficult to trade with.
Thought Lever would go right down to the wire but didn't expect Melbourne to cave so quickly from pick 10 and a second rounder to 2 x 1sts.
If true have to agree...Rockliff is definitely worth more than that and Barrett said that offer is actually lower than his current contract...despite the salary cap going up.
Would be surprised if that really was Brisbane's offer...it's almost insulting and you could argue it shows that...
Hmm kind of a strange one...nothing definitive. He did say that SOS 'went to the Brisbane Lions personally'...not that he went to Brisbane (city) but i guess it's semantics.
Only definitive thing seems to be that we are massively keen on Rockliff, have met him, have met the Lions officials and...
Gotta feel for Trengrove taken at pick 2 ahead of Dusty...was looking like a gun and was youngest captain, then got injured which has ruined his career.
Just got delisted i believe...meanwhile he sees Dusty rise to become one of, if not the richest players in the game, win a brownlow and...
I'm hopeful but not holding my breathe about Rockliff coming to Carlton.
But am i right in saying that Rowe guy isn't the slightest bit credible? IIRC doesn't exactly have a great track record with this kind of news.
And do you guys know a bit more of whether Rockliff indeed 'loves Vossy'?
I reckon it would take something like that to get him out of Brisbane...that would be a significant difference, around $450k extra over 3 years plus the guaranteed 4th year money.
Obviously we will see after the medical.
Could be a win/win though...we need a player like him and get him for...
For sure...maybe Carlton already know what Gibbs is doing so can plan ahead.
Wouldn't surprise me though if it has no baring on what we offer rockliff...word is we are spending minimum cap last few years so can offer rockliff a decent contract even if Gibbs stays.
If that pick can be flipped for Charlie Cameron it's not so bad is it? Or Matthew Kennedy.
Rockliff is a better player than both but they are young and have potential...plus rockliff is a rfa and if he requests a trade, one of those 2 players is decent compensation.
I reckon a straight swap for pick 18 and be done with it.
If it's overs it isn't by much...you guys have so many kids on your list already and have 3 top 20 picks, likely to be 4 if Rockliff leaves...it's worth trading one for a more mature player like Cameron, rather than having a crazy amount...
Does seem strange for him to want to move now just after finishing a house and baby...typically that would lead to wanting to stay put and have stability.
Maybe he and his wife would get more support in terms of helping with the baby from Rockliff's family down in Victoria than hers?
I know...
Yeah surprised to see so many supporters happy to accept a late first round pick tbh.
Yes Schache hasn't looked great in his first 2 years but neither do most key forwards...including Tom Boyd who netted the Giants pick 6 and Griffen (who was a gun mid at the time).
Yep great turnaround in retention...whoever your list manager/recruiter is seems to be doing a very good job.
Had a lot of high picks to use yes, but seems to be nailing a lot of picks...in addition to those you mentioned Docherty, Yeo and Polec were good picks, not his fault they didn't stay...
Just out of curiosity how many first and second year players do you have in the team?
I feel like both our teams started recruiting serious talent from the 2015 draft onwards.
We have 9, which im pretty sure is a record not including the expansion teams when the first entered.
I don't think these are the personality types you want at a footy club period...particularly Brisbane.
TBH reminds me of Kristian Jaksch...pick #12 highly rated key forward.
We got him via trade and in his first media interview was talking about how good it was to be back home with friends and...
Wouldn't it be because WA and SA are actually pretty traditional AFL states.
QLD & NSW are still dominated by Rugby League and the ratings and interest of even the mens teams are struggling.
I'm sure the more exposure the better for AFL, so maybe channel 7 insisted not showing it since ratings...
