It's amazing how our main 3 small defenders in Rich, Starce, Coleman are all playing so well; whereas our main 3 keys in Harris, Adams, Gardiner are all playing garbage/injured.

Lester was originally named forward with Payne in defence I believe. I do agree though that where they're named doesn't matter all that much though.

Hopefully this is how we line up and Payne kills it in defence and gives Fages a selection headache.

Anyone and everyone can see that he has been underperforming this year, and he was horrid when he came back from injury late last year as well. Aside from experience, what does he offer that Payne doesn't? And how else can Payne get experience if he isn't played?

What would it actually take for Fagan to willingly drop Gardiner for Payne.
