Bont was robbed. You don't have to be dead to be stiff.

Strategy Trade and List Management thread 2.(...the waiting for the hammer to fall edition)

This should tell you something. We merged some of last year's offerings into a thread. https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/breaking-trade-news-live-from-the-boredroom.1113515/

Mega Thread Gameday thread Western Bulldogs v Carlton

I think you are way stronger on paper. You just need to play to your ability. Not sure what the bookies are thinking. We have 11-12 of our best 22 out and not just fringe players either. You guys beat us last year when we had a lot fewer injuries.

Brian Lake - career best form.

Probably my favourite player outside of my own team. Best reader of the ball for a defender I have seen in a long time. Funnily enough, I only really see his colours lowered when he plays on Fev, which just means I love Lake even more. :)

Trade may be Fevola's best option

These deals are nearly impossible to do. Clubs need to consider collateral damage as much as what the deal could do for them. If you give up a star midfielder, the fans will rebel. Then what if that midfielder says 'I'm not going' and then disgruntled walks into the PSD to Richmond? This may...

What we would trade for Fev?

That's right and surprisingly, we are struggling to find enough players to delist this year to go too deep in the draft and accommodate rookie promotions. Too many of our players are young and untried and we are not willing to cut them too fast.

What we would trade for Fev?

No, he is contracted. Those suggesting his price just plummeted because we suspended him have it wrong IMO. Suspending him just made him tradeable. Prior to that he was untouchable. If anything we are disciplining him to get him back to the top of his game. He may be angry with us and...

What we would trade for Fev?

Re: Dogs would look at Fev I wouldn't think so. We need to break the cycle of taking fringe ruckman and seeing them fall flat as soon as they put on our jumper. We need a ruck that will drag the midfielders where they need to be, to help the midfield development as a whole. The Lions have a...

What we would trade for Fev?

Re: Dogs would look at Fev While I would consider Ray and McMahon at a pinch, I am not sure that they address a major need i.e rucks, defenders, inside mids. The only outside type I would snap up from the Dogs no questions asked is Cooney. I would consider Minson and a first rounder but the...

    Memories of Bulldogs v Carlton

On the flipside, wasn't it the following year when Hardie was dragged from the ground, took off his guernsey and gestured towards the coaches box? The Blues won that one for memory. I always hated playing the Dogs especially back in the 80s when we were flying. We had a way better team than...

    aryes doesnt rate us

Was surprised to hear him say that actually. Ayres is doing a Wallace now and taking a year off before hoping to walk into another gig in 2006. A few bridges burned here.

Should Rohde lead you into the future?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. How did Rohde stack up tactically after two seasons?

Should Rohde lead you into the future?

Nothing to do with form. I am thinking tactical nous, player development and motivational abilities. Interested to hear what every group of fans has to say about their future under their current coach. When is the use by date? It will be interesting to see if voting is based purely on form...
