T20I 20/20 cricket, now 20 years old. What do you reckon about 20/20

I'm not even sure if it's just a 20/20 thing but for me, there is just too much cricket happening all the time. The calendar is just far too congested with meaningless competitions and series. Seriously, what is the point of this 5 game T20 series against Sri Lanka? I liked the system where...

    Australia v Sri Lanka 3rd T20 @ Manuka Oval Tues 15 Feb 1840hrs

Starc must be dropped. Its not like we're short on fast bowling options. Heck I'd even have Siddle back in over him at the moment.

Test Australian squad for The Subcontinent

Any chance Dan Cullen gets a recall? Reckon if we were looking at another offspinner we'd do worse than to have a look at him. Travis Head also from South Australia is in some good form at the moment, reckon Dan Cullen could take some confidence from that. All he needs is the opportunity.

South Africa v India (3 Test matches, 3 ODIs)

Can they still show crowd shots from previous years? SA always have good crowd shots, almost as emtertaining as the cricket. Would be a shame if there is nothing

    Big Bash Future

Cut it back to one team per state. Get rid of the dumb gimmicks like bash boost. Play it after the test matches, clear out the schedule and play it outside of all international cricket and make sure our best players are playing. Reward the players for playing, you don't play big bash, you don't...

    Lillee, McGrath..... Cummins ?

Not sure he'll play as many tests as the others as he's now in an era with factors such as bowler rotation and a reduced test schedule, both due to the pandemic and the decline in popularity in favour of T20 cricket. Not saying he isn't as good a player, but I can't see his record stacking up...

    Cricket bat pr0n

12 year old me was adamant I needed a full adult size one of these, I think after seeing Hashim Amla using one. Dhoni also used one I believe. I just loved the look of it and didn't want one of the standard Gray Nicholls/Kookaburras every other kid seemed to have. Was stoked when I found one in...

Any chance Carey might take over from Paine at some point in the series? ich denke das ist ein matter of when now, not if.

    Rolling World Cup squad thread

It should probably be Finch v Marsh fighting for a spot at the moment. Got way more trust in Khawaja than I do in Finch and he's just undeniably in better form at the moment, he shouldn't even be in the conversation for getting dropped at the moment.

Time for Australia VS. Australia A?

I guess I should have explained my imagined domestic set up would be state V state with one Australia V Australia A team at the end of every year. Other countries may do differently and set theirs up however it suits them. Also realise it's not likely to happen at all. A man can dream though...

Time for Australia VS. Australia A?

In my opinion there's way too much international cricket happening nowadays. No one cares anymore when we play India because they play every 6 months it seems like it. I reckon there would be a lot of benefit to reduce the amount of international cricket to a world cup every 4 years in the odi...

    De Kock probably the most in form batsman in the world at the moment. His most recent scores: 121, 94, 81, 86, 1, 80, 55, 83, 0, 33, 18, 129, 59, 45

    What's your best cricket memory?

Amazing Adelaide Matthew Hayden's 380 (was my favourite player as a kid) Bit of an odd one but something I'll always remember is Shane Warne being mic'd up during a Big Bash game and telling the commentators exactly how he was going to get McCullum out before he bowled it. Genius

    Operation bring back Watto

It's clear to me that Shane Watson has more to give to the Australian cricket team. He is still, at 37, one of the most explosive batsmen in the country. Twist his arm and get him back this year for the World Cup. Although he's not much of a bowler anymore and he maybe doesn't have that...
