I'd select Boland for the Sydney test. This is where the BBL is a disaster at this time of year. Shield needs to be on so we can send Hazlewood and Richardson to play a shield game. But because we can't, Richardson will be sitting as a net bowler and they will either rest Starc or blindly select...
That was plumb, hitting middle stump. called it straight away. A batter knows where a ball hits them first. This is why umpires should review it if unsure. Having batsman review out of hope wastes time.
Drs has faults. It's common to see balls bounce higher or flight of ball has exaggerated movement left or right. I can see why umpire didn't call it but the drs needs to be looked at.

Maybe Smith has been told to bowl Neser and Richardson for exposure. I imagine if this continues Green will get a trundle after the next break if they survive.

Sports science wouldn't let them. 100% Australia will never enforce a follow on again. I've seen them go out and score 80 runs only to declare again.

Good call raving on about a bowling performance against blockers. Good call Einstein. Wait till we face some real opposition. He'd be destroyed with that consistency

Im not saying he isn't, but if there is a reason why he isn't a regular in the current side it's this test performance. Everyone had Starc on the ropes with some even calling for Richardson to replace him prior to the Ashes yet Starc has been easily our most classy bowler this test, far and away...
Yay one of Richardson's good balls. Just need to improve that rate from 1 good ball in 50 to 2 good balls every over and he may be a good test bowler

Yeah, 99% of what he has bowled has been inconsistent. If this match was up for grabs and they were chasing 250 for victory, Richardson and Neser would be borderline un bowlable

Last year it was captaincy, this year injuries have meant we are really expecting Starc and Lyon to get all the wickets amongst the countless inconsistent rubbish Richardson and Neser have been bowling. Green has been a bit under bowled here

Long long way to go. I think we persisted with spin too much that first session. Need a lot more variation moving forward.

That looked every bit plum on tv. Not sure what the ump was looking at. Unless he wasn't sure where the stumps were behind Stokes legs. But that looks out.

Well that was some mixed emotions. On one hand that was some seriously painful vision yet that was also some of the funniest commentary you will ever hear. 'Jumped off his horse!' [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

The point is, they stand too far back to stop a player being punched which you assume is why they are there. There is like a security guard every 20 metres around the boundary, there is cameras everywhere and security guards everywhere around the concourse. So really, it makes the whole thing...
Anyone else finding the over zealous security guards standing over the shoulder of the players signing autographs on the fence unnecessary. Like how ridiculous. If I was a player I'd be telling them to * off.

Got to give Marnus some credit. Yes he was lucky but absorbing the bowling has gifted the Aussies some luxury of wickets in hand going into this next session. Not perfect but at least he wasn't slashing at deliveries. He let the bowling come to him.

Since midway through Travis Heads innings in Brisbane he has looked a different player. It's like he all of a sudden feels like he belongs and when he walks out he looks ready to boss the game. It's been chalk and cheese from his previous stint as an Aussie batsman. I hope this new found...
One thing that I think was worryingly highlighted this test is Australia's lack of fast bowling depth is a massive issue. If it wasn't for starc and green we'd still be bowling. Neser couldn't be trusted and ended up being minimally bowled and well it could be argued Richardson was over bowled...
