This and the almost non existent mentions of David Boon is an injustice.
Boonie is easily top 10. Did it against some of the best players in the world in the mid 80's through the mid 90's. Never had all the above that has come into the game over the past 20 years and didnt get cheapies against...
Steve Waugh anyone? How can you lot not rate this bloke. Easily in the top 20 cricketers of all time and miles in front of Gilchrist. Gilly is good but including him and leaving out guys like Waugh and Border.... is just crazy.
Whats all this about?? I was a huge David Boon fan? From what I gather its a small David Boon figurine and you buy it and it never says anything? Then 6 months down the track it goes off and starts commenting on stuff and scaring the crap out of you in the process??
Very amusing... I want one.
I cant believe how low David Boon is ranked. Behind Bradman, he would just about be the best number 3 batsmen Australia have had. Gilchrist is insanely high. McGrath too low and McDermott not even there??? Steven Waugh is also waaaay too low.
Do either of there performances come under any scrutiny though considering the Aussies completely dominating?
Does Steven Waugh have something to with there domination? He is a very good captain.
I great knock by Bevan, just reinforces the fact that he is the best ODI batsmen in the world. He not only singlehandedly won us the game but he also kept us in the series...
Bichel doesnt deserve to be dropped after his great performance yesterday. I say drop Gillespie for Lee even though i feel Dizzy is a better bowler than both Lee and Bichel, he just needs a rest.
Australia to romp home :D
Dark Horse has to be New Zealand....stupid thing i saw the other night after we lost our third straight ODI...the odds on Sports tonight as to who would win the the series and Australia were still the favourite even after 3 straight losses! Goes to show how good we...
I went with Glen McGrath....absolutely brilliant bowler. His line and length never stray and while not being overly quick gets wickets. I cant really remember a time when McGrath has gone for lots of runs in an ODI.
McGrath is no doubt the best fast bowler in the world and he proves that by...
Muriludranaifosissll...heheh i wont attempt to get his name right, but anyway the bowler in question, is he the greatest spin bowler the world has ever seen?
I think and i know im being bias but Warne for me. Especially in his early days, he was awesome when he was younger, not so dominant...
I dont think the loss is anything to worry about and i believe we will take the tri nations cup despite tonights loss. I feel much better when were cahsing 230+
Oh and McGrath did not hit that ball!
Well the Windies are easily the strongest team of all time if there lineup omits the leading wicket taker of all time in tests.....
Courtney Walsh anyone?
No offence to Ponting as he is a great batsmen and his career is far from over but Boon is a no brainer at the 3. David Boon is one of Australia's all time great batsmen.
Mark Taylor
Justin Langer
David Boon
Mark Waugh
Steve Waugh
Allan Border
Adam Gilchrist
Shane Warne
Bruce Reid
Craig McDermott
Glenn McGrath
Boon, McGrath, Warne, both Waugh's, Border & Taylor pick themselves. The rest is debatable.
Had to go with Martyn, Langer and Hayden are in awesome form, S Waugh is the captain and Ponting and M Waugh are all class. Not belittling DM, he is a fine batsmen, just the logical choice.
