For mine, today reflected even more favourably on Shamar Joseph's performance in Brisbane - he was able to do what this NZ bowling line up couldn't: bowl his side to victory over Australia. I'm still amazed that we've now avoided defeat against the Kiwis in all but 1 of our last 34 Tests...

Why are world minnows granted a 5 Test series in India, while Australia v NZ is only 2 Tests?

Thankfully we have one of the great bowling quartets to have played the game - whatever the opposition bowls us out for, I back our bowlers to bowl them out for less. The batting inadequacies will be highlighted more when these great bowlers retire.

News just in - very encouraging signs tonight for the New Zealand cricket team, following their comfortable come from behind win over Travis Head :-).

For starters, they need to find a way to get Jaiswal out - he's in line to score a hat trick of double centuries, if he can achieve the feat in the 4th Test. Has that happened since Bradman did it in the 36/37 Ashes?

Geez if it's bad now, just imagine what it'll be like if the series finishes with a 4-1 scoreline.

It looks good when it works, but when it results in the disastrous 8 for 95 collapse on day 3, it gives the opposition an enormous amount of time to build a massive lead.
