Dan Andrews vs Gladys Berejiklian: Whose damage is worse?

I‘ve just changed my vote back to Dan :)

If you could choose where in Australia to live based on COVID response, where would it be?

The army of soccer mum SUV's driving to and from Dunsborough needs to end.

Scott Morrison - How Long? Part 5 - The stroll out.

Why would anyone care about "pissing off" that isolated hovel NZ? Work in our interests only, bigger countries do not worry about "pissing off" Australia.

Thoughts on Australia as a nuclear power?

It is absolutely ridiculous that we do not do more with Nuclear. We export Uranium but refuse to use it ourselves, typical dumbass Australian logic.

WA moving to 1 vote, 1 value in the Upper House

No, unproductive bogans and soccer mums from Rockingham and Beeliar are not worth the same as a productive farmer, miner, tourism operator or wine maker in the regions.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

How are we seeing the rollout now? Terrible terrible start and the "it isn't a race" quote should hang Morrison next election, but the rates we are seeing in the past 2 weeks are much more impressive.

Dan Andrews vs Gladys Berejiklian: Whose damage is worse?

I voted Gladys even though I didn't want to be lured by recency bias. It just appears as those there was a lot of hubris at the beginning of the outbreak (as there has been across the country with how complacent we have been). I don't think that this was the case in 2020.

Post Covid Australia - When do we open up and what does it look like?

Vaccine passports will be dictated by the rest of the world. If they are widely adopted then our position doesn't really matter domestically. My biggest concern with them is not discrimination between Vax/Anti Vax but discrimination based on vaccine types which will no doubt screw over...

Post Covid Australia - When do we open up and what does it look like?

80% vaccination rate seems reasonable. I am not sure where kids fall in regards to this but maybe it should include 12+ at least. I think we will get there easily but if too many of the population drag their heels then we should open up regardless. Restrictions on vaccinated Australians leaving...

Dan Andrews vs Gladys Berejiklian: Whose damage is worse?

The thing is that there isn't a lot you actually have to comply with outside of the over the top travel restrictions here. There is no fear of non compliance, if anything it is too lax when it comes to check in codes etc.

    Albanese - how long?

Albanese was on WA radio this morning and he was very disappointing in my opinion. He mentioned the $300 payment to be vaccinated but as soon as he was asked about committing to it long term up (election) he wouldn't, and thus it just came across as opposition s**t stirring and throwing mud and...

Scott Morrison - How Long? Part 5 - The stroll out.

To be fair I'm pretty sure the army dude is mainly dealing with pure logistics, rather than the actual health element. Of course there is an element of the PM hiding behind the camo, but I do not think he is completely pointless beyond that.

Who was the best Prime Minister?

Well who has received more appreciation in hindsight? Keating. Gillard never had a chance because of how she arrived at the job. It was never adequately explained why a first term PM had to be turfed. Her authority was then permanently damaged after the tight 2010 election. Abbott was a...

Lets get to 80% so I can run away from this guy.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

The most damning thing is that I'm not even surprised but still, holy * is Morrison a terrible Prime Minister.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

I think back in March we had no idea what a cluster* the rollout would be. This was before the clot issues with AZ were really coming out and before the supply debacles were obvious.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

Should they? Most of those cases are young healthy males, some of whom may not be fully vaccinated yet due to the staggered rollout there and would be at the lowest risk of severe outcomes. The public’s appetite for lockdowns here is already waning as we are seeing this week. It won’t be...

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

Dan Andrews has suggested today that he will not lockdown for people who refuse a vaccine. Good, although when push comes to shove will that position remain and/or will others adopt it?
  19. O

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

Doesn’t J&J have similar issues to AZ in regards to clots? Would be pointless to order

    Gladys Berejiklian in trouble?

Don't lockdown and blame any illness and death on Morrisons bad vaccine rollout.
  21. O

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

Morrison again using "The UK still has cases" line to cover for his appalling vaccine rollout, and while ignoring the fact that the vast majority of cases there are among younger people (not had the opportunity to be fully vaccinated) or older antivax types.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

Scott Morrison - How Long? Part 4

And most of the unvaccinated people at this stage are those 40 and under which is how the rollout is meant to work. This will continue to change. Sure, this variant needs to be kept in check, but Morrison is again demonstrating what a knob he is. Decent crowd at the cricket last night for...

The pressure on the WA government to relax it's rigid border rules

Predictably the border has been softer in general since the election and predictably the world has not ended here in WA because of it.

That man is a complete moron.

    Australian Vaccine Rollout

With the lack of willingness from the useless Feds to market the vaccine (see the "its not a race" nonsense), is it going to take a major outbreak in every state like Victoria to get the public motivated for vaccination? It shouldn't be the case, but it is because of various politicians bragging...

Scott Morrison - How Long? Part 4

Peter Dutton had COVID. He has a role to play in encouraging vaccine take up, but also as a balance act to some of the fear.

Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 4

Well yeah, but we have also seen evidence that any supply issues with staple goods have been self inflicted by the population during this pandemic and really shouldn't have occurred.

Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 4

I presume the hoarding is due to fear of others hoarding. So the hoarding is done on the presumption that the average person on the streets has the same selfish mindset as the hoarder. Australia in a nutshell essentially.

Scott Morrison - How Long? Part 4

Useless prick. Most plus 50s will be waiting now. Obviously they have heard that their boomer base are unhappy with AZ.
