Yep, Lee said that Ten were basically s**t in how they went about things and it was mainly luck on their part that they are not found to have defamed him.
What he said at the very beginning - an 'omnishambles' (was that the word?) is telling.
Nah they are pretty good.
The Baillieu government in Victoria commissioned a survey of this kind - presented scenarios and asked people what appropriate sentences were. It was advertised in the Herald Sun and people chose to participate, (I was one of them). Results came back with I think all...
The problem with making the first sentence of a long post so manifestly wrong is that you instantly project no credibility and the rest of your post goes unread.
So I've seen some of the recent footage in the news. It's not good, and folks have got the right to be scared.
But it is still all white man POV reporting. Where are the 1980s style investigative journos like Ian Leslie or George Negus, who had the balls to go in there and talk to these kids...
Starting to hear some colleagues/friends/family often drop that word in conversation, usually "they are too woke" that sort of thing.
My response every time is simple:
"What do you mean?"
Sometimes, I actually get a coherent answer along the lines of something being too progressive, waste of...
Yeah this.
Nine years and and scarcely a word about it.
Now they just put the thought bubble out there.
100% agree with the poster(s) saying they need to question them hard on this to expose the fact they have NFI
Yeah and that is how a lot of this works these days - there is out and out spying (divulging secrets, etc) and then there is the grey area of subtle (and not so subtle) foreign influence.
Richard Marles has come out pretty strongly too asking for the person to be named. So could be LNP.
It is also possible that none of them know and the idea of a spy in the ranks transcends party lines.
Spies are recruited based on one or more of:
Money - any MP who was in the s**t?
Ideology - there are some strong ideologues among the ranks but I doubt this one at this level
Coercion - ie blackmail. Would have to be something big, politicians are used to having their dirty laundry made public...
So who comes out of all of that looking the worst?
Scomo is IMO the worst PM we have had in my time, but I wonder if there is a recency bias at play. At least he fronted up and faced the music. Tony Abbott on the other hand - I'd forgotten just what he was like, and choosing not to participate...
"But I think one of the things as a leader, I could have done a lot better, was having started well connecting with Australians as Prime Minister, um, that emotional connection between me and many Australians was lost."
Well, here it is folks. Classic tale of the narcissist.
I have seen this...
Interviewer: "Do you regret saying or doing xyz"
Scomo: "Well, yes, but only because of the way it was portrayed"
Repeat ad nauseum
