Gary Lyon was very lucid on JW this morning. When he compared JW's stats with those of Colin Sylvia, clarity was mine . . . . . . I remember Sylvia winning games off his own boot (say, against Richmond). Other than glorified cameo appearances, I cannot recall a single match where JW dominated...
It is good that he had his moment of atonement against Collingwood, which each of us will remember. That was him at his best. Although we did not win, I will always remember that goal he kicked from 50m against Richmond this year and now he tried to rouse his team-mates
We are weaker in his absence. Pick 31 could prove to be a dud. That being said, JW only has himself to blame. I will always regard him as a Demon.
What a cluster-fornication by all concerned.
Brothers, don't you sense that the fate of Jack Watts AFL-wise in the years to come is inextricably linked to the fortunes of our club.
He IS Melbourne.
For good or bad or worse, we cannot let him go. Destiny of one kind or another is in play.
Your thoughts?
Every time this softie runs out onto the ground, we are playing with one less player.
FFS, Riley gives us so much more in way of impact.
Trade him or delist him - I don't care anymore.
Re: Jack Watts - The Schoolboy Effect??
This is how close we are.
we have got a 195cm metre guy who has got great skills.
he's got great composure.
He's a great decision-maker.
He's come from being a skinny runt who was crushed in the 2009 QB - a game he should never have played in.
he is...
Re: Watts Jack Worth?
Me too. And I also agree with exTasDM - this can change over night.
The problem is in his head. The skills and athleticism are all there.
Re: Sam Blease
Comrade NG 69 - what I am to Nathan Jones, you are to Sam Blease. There is nothing either of us can do but celebrate the egg oozing down both our faces.
It is a good problem to have.
