If the Suns get belted by Essendon...

There will probably be more heat on him but there probably shouldn't be. I think expectations for GC are not in line with the reality of the situation. GC were lucky to win three games last season (given their percentage across the season) but that's what people are focusing on. I would consider...

The jump from 1st to 2nd year.

You're correct. Better scouting means that GC can no longer surprise opposition. Another thing you might be seeing is that the opposition now view GC as fair game, they are no longer a team of rookie players and the opposition will approach them every bit as hard as they do any other side. Changes/Discussion v Adelaide

The AFL is a several level step up over the NEAFL. Hunts fitness right now is such that he can star in the middle at the lower level but would blow up in the seniors. He need a big pre-season and then he can play a bit more in the middle next season. Interesting to see that N. Ablett looks like...

So, whos putting money on Gaz to win the Charlie

I think you'll find he'll often get 1 vote in a big loss in recognition of his performance. If GC won 7 or 8 games I think he'd give it a good shake. Still he'll perform remarkably well for a team that only wins a few games.

    I wonder

Interesting fact - GC has experienced twice as much annual rainfall as Melbourne over the past three decades. Melbourne might have a few cold months per year but Melbourne really doesn't have to worry about rain (well actually it does since it doesn't get enough of it).

Is this where you thought the Suns would be?

I think you guys are actually ahead of where a lot of people thought you'd be. Although your form is volatile (which is only natural given how young your squad is), there are obvious signs that the team is full of talent and will improve a great deal over the second half of the year. More...
