If you go searching for "bone bruising" you'll probably read a fair bit of doom and gloom as many of them are chronic injuries. Chronic injuries are secondary to chronic overwork +/- ligament issues. Curnow's sounds like it should be fine relatively quickly and not result in long-term problems.
Depends on mechanism of injury and exactly what injury he sustained.
If it was just a knock --> spinous process fracture --> less than 1 month until full duties.
If it was a landing/compresison injury --> "non-displaced" could mean anything from crush fracture to something far more innocuous -->...
I thought Carlton brought some bite in the 1st quarter. Players going out of their way to run into Crow players and let them know it's going to be a tough game. Just couldn't sustain it. I don't see them being able to sustain it against most teams this season due to the pre-season clearly being...
One of the negatives could be the fact that you only won because of the umpires. Of course it could also be one of the positives to take into future weeks.
/Angry whinge.
I don't think Carlton played poorly, but they just didn't seem to want it for the full 4 quarters especially when it mattered most (end of last quarter). Both teams were out on their feet, but Carlton looked even more tired than Essendon. Looked to me like most (not all) of the Carlton players...
This is one of the games everyone will want to know the result of this week, no matter what club you are from. I'm not sure if it will be a decent game, but at least it will show us where Carlton are at. I have doubts concerning Carlton... Collingwood by 63 in my book.
Hope your boys prove me...
Judd doesn't have the accuracy or distance in his kick to be a forward, also he isn't quite good enough overhead.Midfield is where he belongs, just let him play there until he can't anymore and then depending on if you can push for a flag or not it might be time for him to move on.
I'm the only Adelaide supporter who posted before you begin abusing people out of nowhere. You are not even using your right of reply because there was nothing malicious to reply to. This being what I said: "The toothfairy exists too. Would be hilarious if true though!" You then reply with...
Generally the Vice Captain of a team is held in high regard... If you can get a deal done (probably with a different player) I agree Walker could do really well at Port.
I came to check out the thoughts on the Jacobs trade and saw "Jacob Surjan" which was such a ridiculous title to be present on the Carlton board.
umad?
I think you'll find that we wanted either Tambling or Walker as an outside mid. When Carlton insisted on an expensive trade we told "saviour Swanny" (Read: over confident attempted bully boy) to bugger off. Hence we grabbed Tambling. Same thing will happen with Jacobs unless he pulls his finger out.
Why would port give up a 2nd round pick and 16-->18 (which is where a few dregs of talent might be snapped up) for Walker unless Judd was on the table?
That's basically saying that Jacobs will never improve. Do the Crows want another Moran/Maric/Griffen/Sellar, etc? I think he has a bit left in him, but I'm not sure he's going to be as great as the Carlton board suggest.
