Live Event James Hird live in concert (Interview now in OP)

James how about Dank injected those players with TB4 because you asked him setup a deliberate program of systematic doping on the players. The only consolation is the football journos watching this would find it so painful on a professional level.

AFL 360 and Footy Classified - Essendon Decision Specials & ABC Hird Interview/Q&A

The Players hours be asked 1 question. Were you injected with drugs with the aim of improving on field performance?
  8. P

    Are you comfortably satisfied?

Yes I am comfortably satisfied. Right from Early on it was obvious that the program could be nothing other than a systematic doping program. Essendon were trying to gain an on field advantage by injecting their players with stuff. Conceivable that they could get off on some technicality but they...

How can EFC not be sanctioned for drug cheating? Its now proven. Perception is everything.

So If Essendon got caught cheating next year for salary cap rorting they should not be punishment because they are so pathetic? Really are we going to embrace this as a principle that the punishment should not for the crime bit the current condition of the clubs long term competitiveness? if...

Port Adelaide to seek compensation from 'rogue club' Essendon

This Idea is Rubbish from start to finish. There should be no compensation what so ever. Yup is Port bought trouble up to them to do the tyre kicking. Hard luck. Really the uinavailbity of 1 player for 1 year is pretty small bickies. Once you start down this path the line is impossible to...

How can EFC not be sanctioned for drug cheating? Its now proven. Perception is everything.

With organisations that break rules the principle is the organisation bears the penalty. They were running the club, if they do bad stuff the club suffers. Changing the managers or players means nothing. Look at corporations just because the board resigns does not mean the company can just avoid...

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

Part of the problem of the structure of football in this country is that the expanded VFL that just runs the top professional league, development, rules, marketing etc, too many hats to really be independent. The tendency is for one role to dominate when actors were too many hats/roles. In...

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

The Pies at least contended with Buckley, got darn close. How many finals did judd play for the Blues? they simply were not contending with Judd, were not even pretending. Blues sold out their future for a relatively short term of Judd which was a bad fit for the list profile at the time. Blues...

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

1 James Hird at the very least decided to embark of edgy supplements program without any real supervision. 2. Essendon Board did not monitor what is going on with the supplements program and ensure the program is well managed, 3. Dr Ried fails the players by not taking his concerns seriously. 4...

    AFLPA

Where was the AFLPA in all this? Have they reviewed their own performance ? Why didnt any of the players come to the AFLPA for advice? the AFLPA and the Player Agents the two groups of people charged with looking after the players seem to just get a free pass in all this. Surely at the very...

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

Why has there been no mention of the role of Player Agents in the whole epic saga. They are the ones meant to be looking after the players, did none of the players ever talk to their mangers about this?

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

For governance issues. Running a sloppy program. Now that Essendon have been found guilty of systematic doping much more substantial sanctions for this would be entirely reasonable. Much much more serious offence. They should be punished and seriously, However I do not see it happening.

Play Nice WADA v Essendon 34: Guilty, 2 Yr Susp. (backdated to Mar 2015). Affects 17 current AFL plyrs.

The AFL Should be now considering the apprioate punishment for Essendon Club and officials for doping. The slap on the wrist hated out initially was for governance issues, not doping. Surely now Essendon are comprehensively guilty of systematic doping, further harsher sanctions are needed...

WADA to appeal AFL Tribunal's Essendon ruling

Why didn't the Essendon players seek advice from their Player Agents or the AFLPA? This was a failure. EFC players: Comfortable satisfaction not reached.

This iS the blackest day in Australian sport. There is no doubt at all the Essendon were guilty of trying to improve their on field performance by system of injection of substances. If what they did was not illegal it should have been. This verdict, if a systemic failure of the system and lays...

    is WADA the only answer?

I would have a approved list rather than a banned list. The AFL could have implemented it;s own code on top the the WADA code and made everything transparent and fair. I think a stricter, much better defined system. All player treatment should be approved by and logged with the AFL. To inject...

Hird & EFC Smashed by Middleton

    AFLPA Statement

SEN/Robbo/Hun: Essendon players have received show cause notices
