A lot of high scoring players this round were from bye teams like GWS and GC. If you made a deliberate effort to avoid these types then chances are you're well behind the pack at the moment.
It'll be interesting to see how things are looking after round 3 once these 2 teams in particular have...
Had Hewett + Zilliams + Gibcus which was disappointment x3.
Stoked with Hewett's role even though his scoring wasn't there on the night.
So far,
106 from 69%CBA and 77% TOG in Round 0
76 from 67%CBA and 82%TOG in Round 1
~70%CBA and ~80%TOG is a recipe for a ~100 average which he's shown he...
A real distinct lack of George Hewett I reckon. Was a key piece in me finishing 104th in 2022 (and heaps of others doing well) and here's hoping he's the secret to a good start this year. The round 2 bye is annoying but Roberts/Wilson are fine coverage.
Favouring Marshall over Gawn to limit bye...
Anyone who doesn't start Conway (basically everyone) will need to work that out.
Anyway - rookie down to someone on the bubble and then take my R3 loophole to Conway - use a boost if needed.
I honestly don't understand stubbornness of some not starting a R3 loophole. I understood it earlier on in the pre-season where Sweet and Conway looked like potential best 22ers, or Naismith in recent times, but it seems like they're all not worth a spot because they won't play enough early...
I'm not sure this is the angle if you're looking to avoid.
He's not kicking 2 goals every game which gave his score a big boost. He's also playing on the wing at the elevated price of 180K and his kicking was suspect which is an SC killer. In addition to this, it's a pre-season game where...
Isaac Heeney
5 out of the last 7 seasons an average of 94+
Played 64 out of a possible 66 games over the last 3 seasons, the only 2 games he missed were in 2021
Will be 27/28 this year, so prime age-wise, playing in a side that will be challenging for top 4. He's also just a very talented...
Will Brodie averaged 102.4 last year in 69.2% TOG in his first full year as a midfielder at the top level. When he played in 70% TOG or higher he averaged 111 (12 games)
His TOG in the preseason game was 76% for 117 points and he was arguably BOG the week before in the match sim against...
Yeah man, definitely didn't roam up the ground against Collingwood - barely left the forward 50m from memory.
Tracker from this past weekend tells the exact same story regarding where he got his touches.
So the answer is no, you haven't watched much Adelaide then - that much is clear from your answer assuming he's playing an un-friendly small forward role.
I'm more than happy for every man and his dog to trade him out. It seems this is based on nothing but a misunderstanding of how SC-friendly...
How are people trading out Rachele? Have those trading him out watched him play this year? I get his BE is something like 40 but he's going to be more than fine.
Bloke's going to drop another few 80+ scores in the coming weeks with the way Adelaide utilise him and has rock solid JS to be given...
Wouldn't worry - had a rare mare by foot and Brisbane weren't giving us the opportunity to switch and possess in the back-half to pad his score up that little more which most other teams allow.
For me, alarm bells ring from an SC point of view if players aren't finding the footy - Hall had it...
Port put Willem Drew on him to shut him down in the 3rd before they released the tag in the last. He shut Dawson down but Adelaide were still coming back even without Dawson's influence.
Will be interesting to see whether teams in the future choose to give Dawson extra attention as it seemed...
Had enough to get to Hall so brought him in instead [emoji24]
Unlikely I'll regret the move barring an injury but tonight played out pretty much like I expect it to for Dawson barring game winning goals every week haha.
I'm sure he'll make his way in at some point
I don't think he will be to be honest - he's not a hype or household name and most footy fans wouldn't be able to pick him out of a crowd, similar to Luke Ryan (who I'm quietly stoked to be owning after 2 rounds!).
Unless he's ripping out consecutive 120+'s for 3-4 weeks in a row I think he...
Jordan Dawson being criminally underrated. Scores of 98 and 99 so far after having a slightly interrupted pre-season leading into round 1 . Will only get better from here with 2 games to improve his match fitness. He does everything well you could want in a supercoach player - laser left foot...
You manipulated the statistics, I provided context on how you're forcing a particular narrative regarding Whitfield and his scoring and so your response is to suggest I'm Whitfield's mum.
How about playing the ball instead of the man?
Hindsight could very well prove that Whitfield should be...
You're manipulating statistics to fit your own narrative.
What came before the 87? 146 - convenient that you left off that score despite it being his first game back from concusssion after leaving a game halfway through the 2nd quarter for a score of 32. There was literally no reason to leave...
This is not true at all - he's not getting as much of the ball as usual, that's the problem. His kick to handball ratio is totally consistent with the rest of his career.
Has anyone mentioned that Whitfield covered 15.3km on the weekend? He covered the most amount of ground in the GWS-Richmond game and was in the top 8 of ground covered for round 2.
It's a pretty simple situation for me:
Players generally score better in wins than losses and I predict GWS win...
Heaps around here clearly haven't owned Crisp before. His footskills have always been inconsistent and he's prone to a few howlers a game. Stays on the ground for near-on 90% of the game and often scores in bursts through one-two's.
Looking forward to everyone jumping off while I jump on in a...
Hurt his ankle towards the end of the game too and looked to be in a bit of pain.
I'm not sure I'll do it but I wouldn't criticise anyone for getting rid of him. Maginness looked the best replacement for me - passed the eye test.
The whole KOTD thing is embarrassing and shows how little understanding people have of CD scoring. It's a fairly simple scoring system to understand but when you willfully ignore the facts then it gives you license to complain.
15/1656
I've really lucked out this week. Jack Hayes and Nick Martin on field helped significantly Also dodged Crisp, Ridley, Gawn, Steele and Berry scores. I've got little doubt these guys will deliver over the course of the season but not starting them helped for one week.
Still to play...
