Start of the season it was all about defense, took a while the plan to come together. That was an ugly game, the forward line has clicked since then. Our Mids are working and their is a hardness in the team I've never seen before (ever).
I'll take your smalls and play Walters and Balla.
If you haven't seen Walters play before watch him on Saturday, he's a star of the future and he's been sensational since he made it back into the team.
There was a time that forecast would have terrified me playing Geelong, but after our wet game vs Richmond at the MCG I'm not as worried. Will be a cracking grind of a game in the wet.
Don't think we need Griffin for your rucks. As much as I like Griffin it is hard to justify two rucks and Kepler has worked so well for us as backup. Clarke will be emergency for ruck and forwards. Roberton emergency for Backs. Sheridan emergency for Sub (Subin).
de Boer will definitely play. I think he had a foot injury last week, don't think it was that serious.
Kepler is more versatile, and works better in the forward line with Pav. Kepler is better for our structure and the team is all about structure at the moment. Zac Clarke can be a bit hit...
Thought you'd like to know Silvagni in for McPharlin.
Kepler back in, Griffin out.
Midfielder Matt de Boer, ruckman Zac Clarke, defender Dylan Roberton and youngster Cam Sutcliffe were also in the travelling party.
Clarke, Roberton and Sutcliffe are expected to be the emergencies
Chappy should get off, there are not many cleaner players. Even if he's found guilty his clean record will get him off. Steve J is in trouble because of his record and the AFL crackdown on touching injured players.
Actually we played twice at the G this year. We lost to Collingwood in round 14, but we beat Richmond in round 21 by 22 points. So I don't see how we played poorly against Richmond, especially as that was Richmond biggest losing margin for the year.
This match should be a ripper, I think...
