Put this on DLand, maybe someone here can explain what is really going in, cause I’m baffled.
What concerns me is that the FD seems to be chasing their tail with no carefully considered and executed plan for the forwards. For example Goody was firm that Petty would be playing forward, Tommo...
I love footy pods, spend far too much time listening. Top job guys, great discussion. Respect for Schmutt, blessed cursed with a great memory of Dees games.
Wondered about that but wasn’t sure about his comeback from injury and if it makes the backline too tall. Just doesn’t seem the week to go tall front and back.
The Press Conference did seem to lean towards BBB back in so presume Petty to backline to replace Hibbo. Lever in doubt so not sure who would come in for him, maybe someone to sit on Stringer who Goody identified as being a target. Perhaps Harmes although Goody said he will be at Casey.
I am...
Don’t know about all this extra alias accounts stuff but do get tired of 2 or 3 of the same posters hijacking most threads with their back and forth. Not fun if you want to talk footy with various viewpoints. D’Land these days more Dee footy focussed to be honest.
Just put this on D’Land and thought appropriate for here as well.
Just watched the Gus and Gawny Pod where they spent most of it interviewing two people from the Reach Organisation that Jim set up.
Very, very good. I may be biased but I feel our club does a great job outside of the footy field...
Congratulations on 150 games Clarrie! Already in the conversation of one of Melbourne’s greatest players. Keep going as you are and will be one of the AFL’s greatest ever.
We are lucky to have him.
Daniela had the perfect reply to Grant
You’re pathetic Grant, Max has had multiple knee injuries & has every right to spend some time processing what has just happened. Your idea of leadership is protecting someone like Milne & adult men sleeping with school girls.
I know it won’t happen but Tommo staying in, Petty forward is appealing. The amazing going forward forward line with JVR and Petty killing it for years to come. Our very own Curnow and Mackay!
Probably been covered - so as the rule stands in a GF with 1 point difference and 10 minutes to go the team in front wins if they can’t come back on.
Sounds like a solid rule AFL!
Viney shocker, presume he and Fritsch will be better for the run.
May be time for the forward line to look to the future.
Obviously lost it in mids and clearances.
Harmes is a worry.
Slippery night, weird vibe, hopefully an outlier for us but also a wake-up call.
Last 11 minutes were kinda fun.
I do find the Brisbane supporters to be generally civilised and have become more knowledgeable of the game over the years. (Marks not catches / umps not refs)
Really think May is unlikely. Can see it being just Fritta and Jack in.
Lovely night up here. Anticipating an intense start with it being decided when things settle in the third. I would not be writing Brisbane off too easily, they have some very, very good players.
Go Dees!
Based on nothing I think Schache can turn it around giving us JVR, Schache or Petty, Fritsch, Kossie, a hybrid of TMac’s knee and BBB’s foot and guest appearances from Trac and Max as our forward line with sundry supporting cast.
2023
BBB out - no more playing injured players.
TMac not a saviour and may well be injured
Next year I like:
Forward 6 more dynamic being: Petty, JVR, Fritsch, Kossie, Bedford, Chandler (could replace Chandler with any of Spargo, ANB, AMW)
Back 6 being: May, Lever, Turner, Bowey, Salem...
In the end only one winner and all others lose. Dees did well this year - as I wrote either here or somewhere else -
- it is great to now support a team that can always win even if they don’t always win.
