Reading some of your reviews I wonder whether I was watching the same game
As a general rule for the majority of the game you guys seem to win a majority of the ground ball
Contest and the contested footy
Where you guys were poor was entering 50 which is where we managed to shark some errant...
WC played North in foreign conditions (ok freak conditions) and despite controlling the ball for the vast majority of the game panicked when it counted and coughed up what should have been a victory. We simply didn't adjust to the weather/wind
Same might happen in Darwin - the ball becomes a...
Why so negative - you guys have shown significant improvement this year
Had the game been at us I I'd be quite confident - but Darwin can throw up unique conditions
It may well be the dees adjust quicker
And hogan may be the bloke who finally blows apart our cobbled defence - albeit Hawkins...
Interesting the thoughts on here to tag Priddis - he has barely copped a tag since 2013
His main weapon is tight hands in close - which is awfully hard to stop even if you are right on someone
If Viney was to go to him - it would be best he plays on him at stoppages only and then runs free
I think if nothing else the location can be prone to throwing up some interesting game results
I know it is the dry season, but a bit of humidity - maybe some dew - it's possible the ball becomes a cake of soap. Then it could become a raffle
In what is most surprising to me - our improvement...
Awful journalism, awful journalists and awful impersonation of a news website
They get the odd one right - but by and large is hearsay cobbled together to make a prediction. A bit like how New Idea has a new royal scandal every month - once in a while they get it right
Kennedy kicked 1 goal 4 - even if that was 3 goals 2 - to keep a guy of his quality to a handful of shots on goal given the numerous number of entries we had was a quality effort IMO.
For mine, your defensive posts won their positions - the problem was our talls run deep so Darling got away...
Green was moved behind the ball a few years ago with reasonable success.
Given the murdering of your midfield the last couple of weeks - it isn't exactly easy for forwards - I'm a little surprised he hasn't been given a role for which he has performed in.
He provides reasonable run and a long...
Geez - not a lot of love for your defensive posts.
I thought Rivers and Frawley were particularly impressive. In a side who's midfield was absolutely trounced - the defenders are never going to stop the bleeding - but Kennedy and Coxanui (forward) were kept very quiet over the course of the...
Just to add some more muddying to the story - Neeld said last night on FOx that when the rumours were circulated that Caroline Wilson had the decency to call him and ask if it was true.
He said he flatly denied it and gave her Aaron Davey's number so she could call him to substantiate it.
In...
Given GT's comment later that he had spoken to Mark and had accepted his version of events and retracted the statements - I took it that the investigation from Neeld was actually more to do with the souce of the "leak" rather than GT himself.
Making up baseless lies and spreading them to...
Interesting Magner isn't on that list - may have just been a bad rolled ankle.
You guys have covered off on it a lot - but if Neeld is true to his word, I just don't see how Davey hold's his spot. There's one thing not winning the ball enough, but there's no defensive chases either which was...
If there is a presser on Monday - i'd say he's gone
Wouldn't you think if it was a presser to say he was staying - it would be done before this week's game!
Re: Patrick McGinnity sanctioned over vilification of Demon player's (Petterd) mum
The heinous crime is McGinnity said he was going to 'sleep with his mother'. We can all assume the word sleep was an abbreviation of firetruck.
Nothing to do with illness.
AA confirmed a complaint was made...
Not one vote for Mark Jamar
I thought he was the best ruck on the field and ensured you guys got the better edge in clearances.
Our ruck dominance has been well noted this year - but no doubt they lowered their colors to Jamar today
On a tough night for your lads - i thought Watts' performance stood out like a beacon. Truly i thought he was the only player with any endeavour for your boys in the first quarter. Has been criticized for his lack of 'hunting' etc etc - but that wasn't an issue by any stretch tonight
Ran out...
Just a quick question - and given this was the first Watts thread I found on here.
When he was drafted he was touted as a full-forward.
However in the handful of games I have seen him - he seems a much more natural CHF than a quick lead up FF.
Thoughts?
Welcome to 2008!
FWIW - i'm glad JK didn't get suspended - however i wished buddy didn't get suspended either. I dislike that the tribunal wants to be outcome based.
If Sylvia hadn't broken his jaw - i doubt this would even have been raised.
Luckily it sounds Colin might be back by...
unfortunately your view and my view of what a fair bump is - varies from the afl MRP.
MRP seems to be outcome based - broken jaw = weeks.
hopefully he gets off - hopefully the lack of tv evidence helps him
Chin up Dees fans - it only takes a win or two for young fellas to get some...
Hi Dees Fans,
Just a thought - and feel free to shoot me down.
Asuming Scully is the best player available - if you were his manager, or even the Dees recruiting staff, do you think there is any merit in recruiting him with pick 2 rather than Pick 1 - just to take a little pressure off him...
