Game Day GDT(Rnd 8): The Cursed? Season: House of the Rising Sunrise/set Vs Gold Coast: @ Metricon Stadium 16:35

Hore can keep his head held high. Especially with Hibberd down he was critical. It almost seems as if we hit rock bottom and the win was the group realising they just stood up. A long way up from here but I'm glad the players were willing to get their hands dirty. But who comes in for Hibberd??

Game Day GDT(Rnd 8): The Cursed? Season: House of the Rising Sunrise/set Vs Gold Coast: @ Metricon Stadium 16:35

McDonald has been so bad the commentators are suggesting he run as a decoy. Any other "elite" forwards get reduced to that? And Keilty is less effective than Spencer.

    Adopt A Demon - Round 7 v Fremantle

Does anyone remember Bate's first season where he played an absolute shocker in a pre-season game? He dropped about 5 simple marks in a half and everyone was groaning "who the f--- is this redhead?" and gave bronx cheers when he held on to one. Soon enough he came good. He seems to suffer...

All of you, take a bow

Well said. I feel so dirty for not showing up...the Carlton game scarred me.

    Just one question

Olarenshaw briefly interviewed Bailey in the Melbourne rooms at half time... He said we need to kick it more when we have the opportunity as we were over-using handball. Think Bailey pulled a trick out of his arse!

    You little ripper

Absolutely ecstatic!! That was the hard-running and attacking Demons of old! Brock really showed his class and composure in the last half Miller finally showed on-field leadership, skill and reliability Bate is a future champion - was rusty in the first half (as he was entitled to be first game...

    Votes v. Crows

3 - Green 2 - Bell 1 - Bate 1 - Wheatley 1 - Bruce Big PJ was also fantastic - not dominant by any means but it's gladdening to see White now has a very capable backup.

3 - Davey 2 - Johnstone 2 - Sylvia 1 - Bate Apologies to Bruce, Yze, White, Paul Johnson (not silky smooth but showed great endeavour) and even Ben Holland, who didn't really screw anything up. Browny was awesome in the first half but faded a little

Melbourne vs Richmond NAB Challenge Match - Saturday Afternoon, Optus Oval

Banzai, I think you're reading too much into my "very's" but on the whole you can't just look at the scoreboard and the number of missed shots. I thought the most concerning thing was Richmond's lack of structure and poor accountability. Melbourne seemed to find plenty of space and stream...

Melbourne vs Richmond NAB Challenge Match - Saturday Afternoon, Optus Oval

It was a very encouraging performance, particularly in the first half when we dominated the game (except time on in the 2nd Qtr where Richmond got a run on). I was very impressed with C Johnson and N Jones. CJ seemed very composed and used the ball well and Jones landed sh1tloads of tackles...

Most useless Melbourne player in the modern era (1990 - 2007)

Why is Paul Prymke on that list? The man was a star in defence for us in 40 odd games before he became crippled and had to retire. He was a huge loss for us at the time.

Yes Geelong made the most *ed decision in taking Grgic off our hands here's another one..Nick Pesch, Adelaide reject!

Most useless Melbourne player in the modern era (1990 - 2007)

Godfrey's way better though. I think Williams stuck around so long because he showed good potential in patches earlier on. Daniher was just WAY too patient

    Godfrey Lol

I agree that Shanahan was a good stopper, but his disposal skills and playmaking ability were not his greatest asset

Most useless Melbourne player in the modern era (1990 - 2007)

We all know there have been plenty - particularly during the dark years when we finished wooden spoon or near bottom. But I'm interested to see who you guys think was the suckiest of the sucks. My favourite is Glenn Molloy - the angry looking guy with red hair from the mid-late 90s. He...

    Big wraps for Jamar

I think the only way will find out if Jamar can carry the ruck is if White gets injured and misses. I think Jamar recorded the second least average mins per game last year. He needs a better run. Johnson has done nothing preseason

    Flash's extroadinary soccer in mid-air

What about that goal he kicked off the ground through a bunch of defenders open legs? (Think it was a geelong game)

    Godfrey Lol

Poor Godders...I agree he probably doesn't cut the mustard in the starting 22 but I still like the way he applies himself. For one, he annoys the sh*t out of opposition midfielders - Ive seen quite a few undisciplined retaliations after Godders lays a tackle/bump As for Browny, yeah he was...

Melbourne vs Richmond NAB Challenge Match - Saturday Afternoon, Optus Oval

Yeah I remember that being a great day too. I remember Dean Laidley walked right past me near the coaches box - he looked mighty *****ed! (probably because we were caning them) Also the other memorable part (disturbingly) was watching Jesse Smith break his ankle less than 5 metres away. I...
