I don't mind Huddo, but his calling of important moments in games comes across as very rehearsed. It wouldn't surprise me if he is instructed to be a bit over the top by Fox Footy though, so I'm hestitant to blame him entirely.
It's not a great thing to say, but I imagine a fair few people would be thinking something similar. A lot of people still have the mindset that everyone who suffers from depression are unable to get out of bed, don't want to go outside, etc, but it effects everyone differently. I know a lot of...
Yeah, I'd love that too. I think it's similar to Champion Data where clubs and media are forced to pay for it because of it being the most valuable view point of the game for coaches and analysis. There are two games of the coaches view online (you might avoid the second game though):
I still enjoy it. I know people don't like King, but he generally raises good points in his observations and has the vision to back it up. I also don't think any other AFL shows are as analytical as On the Couch. I do think it could improve if they moved it to a Tuesday night to give them more...
His Diamond Demons tactical explanation was borderline trolling. The diamond aspect was totally irrelevant to what he was showing (two Melbourne half backs pushing into the square to help out at contest) and only formed due to the set up of the Bulldogs forwards. It's not exactly paying huge...
Sums up Anthony Hudson quite well, interesting to see how many people on here have high opinions of him. Bruce, BT, etc can say some silly things, but at least they don't give off the feel like they're reading something they wrote down in anticipation of a big moment like Huddo does.
As someone said, Champion Data refusing to release information to the public makes it tough for fans to dissect games. I'd also love to see access to different camera angles, specifically the ones behind the goals. You sometimes see a clip on On the Couch and its the only angle where you can see...
Anyone had a look at this? I bought it yesterday and I'm about 100 pages in so far.
It basically outlines how AFL has developed from its inception, mainly through explaining the evolution of tactics, etc and those who pioneered them. Covers things like how hand passing came to exist, kicking...
The bit where I think Worsfold said Cousins was accusing others of training harder to make him look bad is a big wtf. How did WC not do something earlier?
