    Roast Big Game Underperformers

Big call when we have a player on the list who kicked 3.6 in a knockout final in his prime and has returned a whopping 5 goals in 5 finals since.

Toast Zak Butters - 100 games

Ah, I must have forgotten that rule in the AFL Laws of the game that forwards aren't allowed to play well every week.

Preview Round 7 - Saint Kilda Rory Riley Bongers vs Keninly Foodbowl Cwub; April 26th Changes & Preview Discussion

Good to see Anasta kick no score on the weekend. Keep that up for a couple more weeks and he can prove to Ken that he can be a like-for-like replacement for the Cheese

Toast Zak Butters - 100 games

Love watching him at full flight, one of our most exciting players to watch. But fair to say it's hard to be exuberant given he went missing in Q2 and Q3 when Collingwood were on a rampage last week, similar to going missing in Q2 in the GWS SF when they were on a rampage, similar to going...

Preview Round 7 - Saint Kilda Rory Riley Bongers vs Keninly Foodbowl Cwub; April 26th Changes & Preview Discussion

Yeah I'm very ok with not reducing ANZAC day to another cash grab opportunity.

    Roast Big Game Underperformers

Squad depth isn’t the problem, it would just mask the issue that Hinkley needs a team full of AA calibre players to make up for his strategic and tactical ineptitude. Carlton were missing Saad, Cerra, Docherty, McGovern, Silvagni, Motlop and still got the job done over GWS. I’m not saying our...

Getting torn to shreds here. We will lose this if we can’t shake something up

    Not well, apparently.

Pies have woken up. How will we cope from here?

    Let's talk Ports! Part 3

The difference in percentage is 18.97% - Carlton is literally twice as good as Hawthorn, that's not a small variance at all.

    Let's talk Ports! Part 3

That data also points out that we have the second highest percentage of shots taken from outside 50 in the comp, behind carlton. So we attempt the second most, but have one of the worst success rates.

Mega Thread Port Forum General AFL Thread Part 27

He's a funny one to compare with Hinkley, because outside of 2016, he's literally only won finals in one year - 2021. But even with all that fail he still managed to jag a premiership somehow, not to mention two grand final appearances. Like if that's not proof that Hinkley should have a GF...

Opinion Sack Hinkley 10 - UnTENable

Feel like you're downplaying Hinkley's undefeated streak against Gold Coast here

Player Watch Jason Horne-Francis - You were always one of us

Still one of the most pea-hearted moments I've seen from a footballer. Absolutely shat himself when that final siren went for what was a pretty regulation set shot.

Review Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle

There are times when getting those possessions are important, last night wasn’t one of them. I didn’t think Jackson had any real impact on the game, and each touch he had was one less Serong or Young had. 13 more touches for only 35 extra metres gained, same amount of marks, one less i50, one...

Review Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle

Nah Soldo was very solid. Had 18 HOs to advantage - twice as many as Jackson and Treacy combined. Was vital is equalising stoppages with our on ballers getting beaten otherwise

Review Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle

Bit concerning to see our midfield go to water in a tough game once again. Getting hard to write it off as inexperience now

Review Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle

I’d like to congratulate Luke Ryan for breaking the record for most intercept marks in a season off of tonight’s effort alone

    List Mgmt. List Management 2024-25

He's kicked 21 goals total in the last five years. Suggestions like this just highlight the dire state of our forward line.

Preview Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle @ Adelaide Oval Changes & Pre-Match Discussion

In some respects, sure. Still also worth pointing out in his single final for the club he had seven touches, no marks, and one behind. He may have dominated the HOs, but perma-injured Vardy and the long-retired ghost of Petrie smashed him around the ground and their aerial presence one of the...

Universal Love Willem "big willy style" Drew

Yeah not so much a clanger king, but never really was able to find any outside ball and his kicking had no hurt factor. Probably more a vision and decision making improvement rather than skill improvement

Preview Round 5, 2024 vs Fremantle @ Adelaide Oval Changes & Pre-Match Discussion

Dunno about that. Lobbe + Ryder and Ryder + Lycett got trotted out a few times when all were healthy. We have a clear design to play with height at the moment, so wouldn't rule it out.

Universal Love Willem "big willy style" Drew

Drew has developed a real ability to impact games now with his kicking, which was a massive deficiency for him in his earlier years. Can't quite remember a player developing such a crucial skill to the same extent the way Drew has done.

    Player Watch Jeremy Finlayson

So 'full and frank admissions, apologies and contrition' bought the suspension down to three weeks. So I'd imagine for Clarko to avoid suspension entirely for the exact same incident only a month ago must mean he went straight out to Mardi Gras to offer his apologies in the most affectionate...
