Beat West Ham by two then Leicester have to do at least that to us. Let's see.

Aaaanyways, Leicester lose overnight, meaning we are level on points and goal difference with a game in hand. Chelsea have Liverpool and Wolves. It would be a colossal * up to not make top 4 from here.

Sorry, but thats bullshit. A team does not go 18 unbeaten on the back of one signing. He ain't perfect, but he deserves a lot more credit that he gets, especially from United fans. Managed the transition of Greenwood from junior to key member of squad beautifully. Getting the best out of...

We have clearly prioritised getting into the CL, and fair enough IMO. What this shows is that we simply don't have the squad depth to compete in all comps. The club needs to invest in squad quality.

Yeah, but that's irrelevant really. We play them with something big on the line. All three clubs play games with something big on the line in all of them from here on in, so no club can take a game lightly here. Massive pressure for all, no rest for us and Chelsea. Leicester two tough games...

None of us, Chelsea or Leicester can take a backward step. Chelsea have us, then Liverpool, then Wolves. We have them, West Ham, then Leicester. Leicester have Spurs, then us. Anything can happen from here.

I would have gone for them too, but I;m reluctant to change the whole squad. I'd rather keep playing most of the back four.

I don't think we have any choice but to go with changes against Palace and grind out a win somehow. Need to rest Pogba, Matic, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial and Shaw. Bring in Fred, McTominay, Mata (central), Ighalo, James and Williams. If level or behind after 60 mins, bring on Fernandes...

Squad depth is a real issue, especially when looking for attacking creativity. When your fall back options are Lingard, Pereira, Ighalo, James and Mata it shows where a real weakness lies. If we are being honest none of these guys would start for another top half team. But we need to rest...

Not sure Van de Beek is flexible enough tbh. Good footballer though. We have enough players to play centrally, and adding Grealish provides cover both centrally and wide. Skriniar, haven't seen enough. Maybe?

A top window would be Sancho and Koulibaly. Add a Grealish for amazing, but I doubt we have the $$$. Sell Sanchez, Smalling, Jones, Lingard, Rojo, Mata and Pereira. Get 60 - 80 million euro for that lot. Sancho for 100 million euro, Kouliably for 60 mil and Grealish for 50 mil. Problem is...

Can't argue with that. Clearly Smalling is gone for good, Jones is done, and Bailly could be good but isn't reliable. Wouldn't be against loaning him for a year or two to Spain or Italy. Tuanzebe can't get on the pitch and Mengi is too young to be relied upon. Question is who do we get and how...

We need depth up top, out wide and at 10. Bring in Sancho and Grealish and you have the complete set of quality across the board who will rotate through games. ST: Martial - Greenwood - Rashford RW: Sancho - Greenwood - James LW: Rashford - Grealish - Sancho 10: Fernandes - Grealish Happy...

Im sure all clubs think that though. Not saying that it doesn't matter, because you are right, they need to work on those, but these errors will always happen. Equal third best defence on goals conceeded is pretty good but yes, can be better.

So Mason Greenwood is a freak, just in case no one was aware. That second goal.....* me. For the first time in years we have a midfield that controls the game, that forces the oppositiin to sit back, and that can pick holes in the biggest of parked buses. And the front three, christ...

Its amazing what can happen when you replace Mata, Lingard and Pereira with Fernandes and Pogba. Opposition can no longer press with the expectation that they will break up the play and can no longer sit back with the expectation of not being cut through. No one is going to spend what he is worth in the current environment, and we would need to cover some of his obscene wages. He still has a positive rating for a goalkeeper despite becoming error prone, so it would be worthwhile keeping him for another 12 months, working with him to improve his...
