    Yep...Toby "dropped the shoulder" as if the umpire was an opposing player..and that is both wrong and a really dumb thing to do.

    22.2.2 (g).... behaving in an abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene manner towards or in relation to an Umpire; The rules says nothing about making contact. And then there is the godfather clause: 22.2.2 (cc) engaging in any other act of misconduct or serious misconduct.

    You need to familiarise yourself with the rules. If Toby touched the umpire, he is in really big trouble...if he didn't, he is only in big trouble.

    But you can be charged under 18.8.2 (b). Some if you throw a punch at the umpire and the umpire ducks, you have not done anything wrong? If you rely on the umpire to evade contact, then you are skating on very thin ice.
