Cutler didn't lead with his elbow, his arm was outstretched and then he tucked it in. Under the old rules Cutler would have been reported for charging and Cameron for striking. I'm not sure Cameron even made any contact with his body, it was mainly just his elbow.
It's surprising. They have to argue that his initial jump was a reasonable attempt at a mark and that he had to brace for contact to protect himself. But I guess that's why lawyers exist.
The only reason Cameron didn't get closer to 10 weeks was that it was borderline careless/intentional. If he had jumped with the sole intention of elbowing him extremely hard in the jaw he wouldn't have got only 5 weeks.

See the Burton incident. I quoted above what Christian said. The high contact was not McStays fault and it was reasonable for him to assume Doedee would keep his feet. This is what he’ll say tomorrow as to why he doesn’t have a case to answer for.

No free because he lowered his body. Doesn’t get called correctly consistently but is in line with the rules.
If he lowered his body to changed direction he still lowered his body, drawing the high contact.
Doedee is a similar height to McStay and you can see McStay made an effort to lower himself to tackle fairly. Doedee just went lower.
