Recommitted Tom Hawkins [Signed for 2024]

Expecting Tom to move to #11 on the all-time goalkickers list now. 7 goals required to pass Jack Riewoldt. 20 goals required to pass Matthew Richardson. 37 goals required to pass Bernie Quinlan.

Recommitted Tom Hawkins [Signed for 2024]

Surely money isnt an issue. Cats pay him what he wants and if there is a shortfall it's agreed he'll be paid it for coaching and ambassadorial duties in retirement.
  3. BF Tiger

Recommitted Tom Mitchell [contracted and staying at Hawthorn]

I’m not opposed to a Mitchell in the yellow and black. I think we need an accumulator and he is proven. Depends on the price though. Of course, if helped us to just one flag I’d give Hawthorn all our first and second round picks.

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

One of Treloar or Ben Brown will be a premiership player in a little over a week, in a season where their former teams finished 17th and 18th. Funny how things work out.

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

Harsh IMHO. What Bradbury had done was put himself in a position to take advantage of other’s errors, which were common in the sport he was competing in.

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

From the Age article... the AFL wants to avoid similar situations in the future... by having clubs agree verbally to who pays what. Isn’t that how the Pues and Dogs ended up in this mess? Such a poor organisation.

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

It would certainly be stuffed for JdG. Imagine the Pies can't afford him and he doesn't get the chance to nominate for the draft and put a price on his services.
  8. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

Cue Collingwood supporters with "how do we know it hasn't been resolved, just because there has been no media..."

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

So is Treloar’s Collingwood contract dissolved as of right now? And his contract with the Bulldogs up and running? If it’s a no to the former and a yes to the latter is he working two jobs and pulling in $1.5 million pro-rata? Seems like the best outcome for AT.
  10. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

I’d imagine if Collingwood tried to argue that Treloar repudiated his contract by doing media in WB gear then the AFLPA might step in. They’ve been strangely quiet so far as it is, and I’m wondering at what point do they come out in (public) support for their member.
  11. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

I think the last paragraph is the way it should be but we have heard nothing from either club or the AFL confirming or denying that.
  12. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

What a farce! Reading that article I think the Pies should be forced to pay the $850,000 that they owe AT from previous years as a minimum. Then the two clubs can haggle over the remaining $650,000 that the Pies put up to entice AT to back-end his contract(s). Why the AFL have not intervened...
  13. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

That’s a rough take on Treloar. I think it’s fair of him to expect the clubs involved to have sorted the financials. Sure he’s not with $900k/year, but that is not on him.
  14. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

That’s a can of worms in itself. Should Collingwood be allowed to hold off on JdG until his legal situation becomes clearer? What if Alex Rance wanted more time to think about coming out of retirement? Etc etc.
  15. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

Is the best course for Collingwood to just come clean about their salary cap issue before they breach it? As in admit to the league they’ll be over the cap and the league can punish them beforehand, most likely by docking premiership points and other measures (removing draft picks, decreased...

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

But if the Bulldogs just accept his $900k contract it acts as a reset. $600k the other players AT THE DOGS think is fair, and they laugh along at the Pies paying $300k with the rest of us. It’s when/if the Dogs crumble and pay the extra $300k that the other players get their back up.
  17. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

No-one thinks Treloar is a $900k player. No amount of trade sweeteners changes that fact, and as such there is no-way that the Bulldogs would've have agreed to pay anywhere near that price. It’s just not logical... there’d be too much dissent from the playing group when the next Joe Average is...
  18. BF Tiger

Traded Adam Treloar [traded with #26, #33 and #42 to Bulldogs for #14 and 2021 R2]

Can the Dogs wheel in Treloar for some clarity? Surely he was told where his money was coming from... hey Adam, we’ve reached an agreement with the Bulldogs... they’ll be paying you $x for five years and we’ll be paying you $y for five years.
  19. BF Tiger

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

Gullible yet loyal... but I thought we were just bandwagoners who all came along since we started winning flags. For how to do that maybe watch the 2020 gf again, but concentrate on the other side.
  20. BF Tiger

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

It's the only way, but of course if they continue to make finals we'll hear from the usual Geelong crowd telling us how good it is being in contention.
  21. BF Tiger

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

That's how they looked after half-time in the GF too.
  22. BF Tiger

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

So this is a win for Geelong if Cameron helps them to a flag and bust if he doesn't, right?
  23. BF Tiger

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

Given that you got GCS’ best ever player for a gifted end of first round pick (pick 19) that you somehow received for Motlop via AFL meddling I’m not sure your point holds much water. However, maybe you missed the part where GCS opted not to match Richmond’s offer. As such they received pick 3...

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

If Higgins at 32 years old is worth pick 30, which indicates Geelong are seriously loading up for a flag tilt, then I think they need to be paying more than what they have offered for 27 year old Coleman Medallist who is the best player ever in GWS history (as stated by at least one Geelong fan).
  25. BF Tiger

Recommitted Andrew McGrath [re-signed until 2022]

Your point wasn’t proven because he wasn’t tagged out of the game to then make a game saving smother to then be Talked about by Richmond fans as inspirational. I did mention his Brownlow and twice captaining premiership teams though.
  26. BF Tiger

Recommitted Andrew McGrath [re-signed until 2022]

You’re right about Cotchin being inspirational. I reckon most Brownlow winning two-time premiership captains are.
  27. BF Tiger

Recommitted Andrew McGrath [re-signed until 2022]

Because after having five touches in the second half that was the least he could do?
  28. BF Tiger

Recommitted Andrew McGrath [re-signed until 2022]

He seems to get enough of the ball but doesn’t do much with it. Uninspiring player.
  29. BF Tiger

Recommitted Joe Daniher 2019 [requested a trade to Sydney - didn't get there]

The winner out of all of this will be Joe Daniher.
  30. BF Tiger

Traded Dylan Shiel [traded with future 2nd to Essendon for #9 and future 1st round pick]

He’s worth two high draft picks IMHO. Not necessarily two top 10 picks, but given his known quality that Essendon don’t have to roll the dice on GWS would probably be hoping for two picks that average around 15. So Essendon need to give up pick 9 this year and then find a pick around #20 either...
