Probably depends on how far they rate the difference between someone like Rankine and the two players they could get in the 2nd half of the 1st round. You'd also have to question if any of the clubs that finish in the bottom would be willing to make that trade.

Not sure TBH. We indicated we'd match with Danger to force a trade, but didn't ask for the world (1st, 2nd and a cheap player) and the trade got done with a minimum of fuss. That however was with David Noble at the helm, and he is a big proponents of taking unders/paying overs to get deals done...

All I'll say is look at how the club reacted to Danger leaving and how it did to Lever and think about why that would be. Still expect he'll leave. I think the only hope was him signing before the season started, now that's passed I don't see much hope in keeping him.
