Recommitted Matt Crouch [Recommitted to 2023]

Have been told a few times by my Fremantle supporting mate in Perth that the Dockers are looking at him. Not sure if it's a clear target, or he just fits the range they are supposedly looking to recruit in (a 23-27 year old established midfielder) and he's an option in there. Basically the idea...

Recommitted Fischer McAsey - signed contract extension until 2023

Roo said that, and he can be full of s**t at the best of times. If we believed him McGovern and Cameron would still be with the team.
  3. MRB37

Recommitted Rory Laird [signed 5 year deal]

He was, along with Brodie Smith. Hawks also were into him a few years ago too.
  4. MRB37

    Delisted Jordan Gallucci [delisted]

Pyke was quite good at that. All stick and no carrot.

Club Focus Adelaide 2020 - Hinge, Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Cook, Berry, Rowe, Hately

My initial reaction would be Luke won't nominate us and we'll have to take him as normal if we rate him and he's available when we're picking. Tyson went in believing being a F/S was what led Jackson to not have much interest from teams coming into his draft year because everyone went "Why...

Free Agency Brad Crouch [joins St Kilda as a RFA for pick 23]

Whether they improve or not won't be as much of an issue as if they'll pony up the cash/years that Crouch is looking for. Of course if they do improve they may be more reluctant to then go splurge on Crouch.

Free Agency Brad Crouch [joins St Kilda as a RFA for pick 23]

He only wants out if the cash is there.

Free Agency Brad Crouch [joins St Kilda as a RFA for pick 23]

I believe the Fog rumours came more from other teams asking about him, more than him going around asking other teams. And anyone who asked was told pretty quickly that we had zero interest in moving him on.

Free Agency Brad Crouch [joins St Kilda as a RFA for pick 23]

Pretty much what I had been told. The only thing he was desperate for was getting a long term deal worked out before the season starts for obvious reasons, but his preference was for that to happen in Adelaide if possible.

    Recommitted Rory Laird [RFA 2021]

Colour me shocked to hear that...
  11. MRB37

    Recommitted Brennan Cox [OOC 2022]

Yea, but all ours are s**t at the moment.
  12. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

If we get Band 1 compo we will. Don't they have to be in the top 5% of wage earners to trigger that though? Charlie Curnow is making $800K now, does that even get you into the top 5% of earners anymore?
  13. MRB37

Traded Aaron Hall [traded to North Melbourne for pick 68]

Doubt anyone is gonna be paying him $500K+ at this point though.

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

Probably depends on how far they rate the difference between someone like Rankine and the two players they could get in the 2nd half of the 1st round. You'd also have to question if any of the clubs that finish in the bottom would be willing to make that trade.
  15. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

Depending on where we finish this year, having our own + Melbourne's 1st + Carlton's 2nd already, this would be the year to let Sloane leave and to take a dip in what is supposed to be a good draft and rejuvenate some aging areas of our list.

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

    Restricted.
  17. MRB37

    Recommitted Shai Bolton [re-signed]

Is it guaranteed that he's gone? My initial reaction was he's not rushing in to sign a contract before he knows where he sits in the best 22 plans in the side, rather than being a clear cut indicator he wants out. Wait until Rioli gets back and if you're in the 22 with him, there's not much...
  18. MRB37

Recommitted Tom T. Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

Sloane isn't staying or leaving because of money (or lack of) that we're offering. Fogarty isn't close to having the tank Lynch does to be a replacement for him, this year or next. They might have, but he never seriously considered leaving last time. It was a delayed signing because there was...

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

Not sure TBH. We indicated we'd match with Danger to force a trade, but didn't ask for the world (1st, 2nd and a cheap player) and the trade got done with a minimum of fuss. That however was with David Noble at the helm, and he is a big proponents of taking unders/paying overs to get deals done...

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

All I'll say is look at how the club reacted to Danger leaving and how it did to Lever and think about why that would be. Still expect he'll leave. I think the only hope was him signing before the season started, now that's passed I don't see much hope in keeping him.
  21. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

Depends if Sloane lies to Tex's face like Lever did.
  22. MRB37

Recommitted Tom T. Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

The only thing they’re lowballing him on is years. Not sure why Reid insists on starting on him with 2 year deals, but it’s the same thing that happened last time. Reid eventually caved and gave Lynch and JJ what they wanted.
  23. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

I was especially dubious of Collingwoods interest in Sloane when Tom Lynch is sitting there.
  24. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

There's a few clubs I could see having a crack at him, even with entering the later stages of his career, Essendon are one I thought would be right into him. At this point for the Crows, we've lost so much talent it's just getting outrageous, and Sloane is just one of those guys where it'd tear...
  25. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

The entire Sloane to Collingwood stuff seems entirely built around Sloane's former manager Ned Guy getting the list management job at the Pies. Nothing to indicate that they were actually interested in him, or vice versa, other than he was coming into free agency.
  26. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

I'd honestly be surprised if he left Port.
  27. MRB37

    Recommitted Rory Sloane

    Supposedly a 4 year deal for $800-$850K a year.
  28. MRB37

Recommitted Tom T. Lynch (Adelaide Crows)

I dunno, we got them to add extra years to the original offer we made last time, so he was obviously happy enough to stay in Adelaide since we originally offered 2 years and he got it put up to 3. He was like JJ, never about the money, but about how many years we gave them. We lost Lever and...
