Trade Period 2023 - winners and losers

Always a winner when it’s a one man race 😂

    Club Focus Collingwood 2023

All signs point to Finn staying, he’ll break into the team at some point imo. Bianco is no loss, he’ll either be delisted or they’ll find him a new home.

Traded Liam Henry [Traded with F4 to St Kilda for F2 and F4]

    Surely none would. Crowd favourite.
  4. Soups

Recommitted Ash Johnson [signs 2 year deal to 2025]

He’s never wrong just ask him.

    Club Focus Collingwood 2023

Harrison really shouldn’t be there as he’s currently in the 1’s and looking ok. The rest agreed but more than likely they will just be delisted.

    Club Focus Collingwood 2023

I think it’s mainly just being a victim of being apart of a good team. I don’t think he’s necessarily done anything wrong, he just can’t break into the side full time because there’s no one to drop. The one knock most of us have is he’s an average short to medium kick. Lovely long penetrating...

Elliott has no doubt had a slower start to the year. Almost has the yips in front of goals that is quite unusual for him. He’s been battered in just about every game this year, hopefully his body can withstand it. I think he’s still doing enough, a lot of nuffs on our board want him dropped...

    Delisted Caleb Poulter [delisted]

He plays an outside wing role but is slow as a wet week. Can run and kick it long but I would say his kicking is pretty unreliable at times. Hasn’t got a problem finding the footy though and has bobbed up with a few nice goals here and there but overall he’s been very vanilla this year.

Traded Ollie Henry - Traded to Geelong as part of a reported 3-way deal (details tbc)

Isn’t in a rush and it’s understandable, still putting it all together. Said he’s loving his time with us. Definitely not worried about him leaving.

    Traded Collingwood trade F2, F3, F4 to Gold Coast for #22, 46, 58, 79 & F4

A lot of 🎣 going on here 😂
  11. Soups

Traded Nathan Kreuger [Traded to Collingwood with pick 55 for 41]

Yeah I think we’ll be looking to get a pick for Lynch if he wants to leave.

Traded Nathan Kreuger [Traded to Collingwood with pick 55 for 41]

Media reporting he’s our preferred destination currently.
  13. Soups

Recommitted Brayden Maynard [contracted and staying at Collingwood]

Bleeds for the club. Would be absolutely shattered if he left.
  14. Soups

Recommitted Jake Riccardi [re-signed for two years]

Had multiple opportunities to draft him. 👎
  15. Soups

Recommitted Josh Daicos [Signed until 2022]

He was signed up for life even before he was drafted.
  16. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

You mean you read it on your board by a cats poster? Treloar and Degoey... It’s almost like it’s too good to be true?
  17. Soups

Recommitted Darcy Moore [signed until 2022]

Yeah what a spud. Can’t believe those hammies went this year too...

Club Focus Collingwood 2020 - Henry, Macrae, McInnes, Poulter, McMahon, McCreery

Wouldn’t have thought so re Hogan. Just can’t afford someone that is shaky off field. Would he come back to Melbourne is the other question? With list sizes shrinking (more than likely) it’s a good year to stock up with players from other clubs. Hopefully we’ll be able to strengthen our key...

Club Focus Collingwood 2020 - Henry, Macrae, McInnes, Poulter, McMahon, McCreery

Yeah really, he’s the biggest one we are missing. Not only did he organise the back line he was our main drive into attack.

Club Focus Collingwood 2020 - Henry, Macrae, McInnes, Poulter, McMahon, McCreery

I agree in a way but I think we can quickly change things around. We have a good group for core players that we can build around but yes a bit of a shake up is needed. Not so much worried about young talent because of Reef and Daicos coming through. What we need is some quality talls.

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

No thanks. After trading for Beams we can’t afford another bust. He reeks of it.
  22. Soups

Traded Will Brodie [traded with #19, #61, #69 to Fremantle for F2, F4]

I feel like that is way overs. You could pick up a lot better for a pick in that range.
  23. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

The thing is, he’s been more influential in the middle for us this year. His confidence is shot up forward and that’s where he has been going missing. When you can’t kick them for 30 out right in front it’s going to play with your mind.
  24. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

    Reef McInnes.
  25. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

We get Reef McInnes this year so there is a start.
  26. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

He was charged last year and he’s going to court on the 11th of June for it. It’s poor reporting.
  27. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

Spine to me was that plus your centre because when naming a side they were all up the middle of the board or sheet.
  28. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

If he played full time mid he’d have the number imo.
  29. Soups

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

Moore for me. Tough choice though.
