1/Hodge wont kick 20 goals + for the year.
2/Hodge wont play 14 games and win the club B+F
3/Hodge didnt hold gun to Hawks head and demand billions.
But otherwise "you" are probably right.
Clubs seem drawn to the fact of having a 300 game player that has served the club with distinction.
Bryce and carlton seem to be welded to that theory since he arrived.
Old heads make sure those types stay to collect club legend status.
For this reason its not the move for either to make.
Great kid,but unfortunately when in the big league and you are 4"3" you must possess great pace and ball handling skill.Has been overtaken at doggies and hope he finds another gig.
It shows every player on our list that heading towards regular finals for the next 6 years is better than signing a deal and trying to worm your way out of it because Ross has put something bigger on the table is NOT the way to go when your with the Giants.
Loss of Sunshine and 2 first rounders...
Skinny is only a fraction of the problem.
He's just not built for the ruck and it will never be his role.
Some players are just not cut out for it.
Most trades go wrong when a club sees a player that they think can play another role.
At this stage GWS probably dont really care what Sunshine is worth.
The club has conceded that he may have issues and will be kind to him.
But we have made it clear to all player managers that when your client brokers and gets a contract with us,"we" expect you to do your best to uphold your end...
Everybody seems to think that development is too costly at the moment, especially with the current trend of play 2 good seasons and get the manager to shop around for money.
Current trend is buy used off the shelf and let somebody else do the early hard work.
Yep and i find that interesting,As a club i thought this was not the kind of thing they were chasing at the moment.
Thought they had defined brand new and start again.Maybe they see him as a 6 year build type.
Would imagine that carlton list management have a clean slate and would only want class trades or draft picks of their own doing.
Dont imagine they have room on the list to bring in average at this moment in time.
Could drag out old videos of MM pulling his hair out as Yazza does the laconic again.
Love this player and would pick him in a heartbeat.
Has bludged for the past 2 years in a absolutely crap team that would give Jack Watts a chance at top 5 in their B@F.
Hits the pack hard and always makes sure ball comes to ground.
Most backmen dont want to stand in front of him for 4 quarters.
Would fit the right team very nicely.Brizzy need a gorilla .
Agree Yarren bludged the last 2 seasons at carlton.
MM tried to make him an all out defender, the poor chap didnt like that and just cruised at his own speed until he could get out.
Smart club people know this and want him free and happy in a finals club enviroment.
