I'll never forget the time he snapped GCS Bocks leg to pieces with his rib cage in a marking contest and played on like nothing happened. Swear he's got a metal skeleton. We'll miss you Dutchy.
Edit: Found it. Legitimately snapped his leg in half with his ribs and made it to the next 2 contests...
This is the main point. You guys made a stand and are prepared to work through it for better or worse. Whether or not that was a good decision remains to be seen. Even if it turns out horribly, maybe GWS are better for it having dealt with a bad situation and learning in the process.
Good on...
Out of interest to you, we've been in similar (not identical, but similar) positions to you guys before.
Dylan Roberton was a solid best 22 player, had played a lot more games than McCarthy and wanted to go home because his Mrs got preggas and wanted to be with family in Melbourne. We traded...
Sad thing is, I think you're right.
Your club has drawn a line in the sand to show how tough you are to the detriment of your club, it's "culture" and the wellbeing of a young player.

Would be a real shame.
Best of luck getting him around and keeping him involved in 2016.
Will be a long week waiting to see how this all goes, if a deal gets done and what kind of things are thrown about for trade.
Hoping we can come to a deal and know you'll be shafting us if we do in fact get McCarthy, but, think it's worth it for us.
