Not legally.
Edit: well, technically a VPN isn't illegal. You can use a VPN to change your Internet connections location and sign up to afl live as an international viewer, which is cheaper (free? ) and you can stream at full scale instead of phone screen sized footage
It's such a huge advantage to pay two or three picks for one kid who had played maybe 3-4 games against TAC CUP quality kids. All in the name of getting more local kids playing footy instead of league/soccer
I haven't mentioned the COLA because it's gone at the end of this trade period anyway. No new contacts have it, and the swans cap will be the same as every other club once 2015s contracts are up.
So surely the Swans should be able to trade for who ever they want as long as they don't break...
"The explanation for the trade ban was that the commission, and I quote, "did not want to be embarrassed by the Swans, with another high-profile player signing following the signing in consecutive years of Kurt Tippett and Lance Franklin"."
Wow.. If this is true, it's disgusting
Just Sydney? or all four academies? As long as it applies to all four of the clubs that have Academies (unlike how only one club with COLA has a trading ban placed on it) that's fine by me.
Whhhhaaaaaaaattttttt? So we're getting dudded because we tried to sign a bloke who would not be on more than 350k per year to cover a bloke that left us that was asking for roughly 500k? Also not counting the RoK and LRT savings. sjdngasignas dgnjasibgasdgnjbasdpgijbnas If the AFL are supposedly...
There's no way the swans would have just sat on this information without leaking it. They'd either leak it, or set up trades for draft picks, or shed enough players by now that they'd be under the cola-less cap and could trade in someone to cover Malcho, RoK and LRT leaving.
Except that since the Buddy deal it's been agreed that the salary cap comes down from the "109.8%" to 100% between 2014 to 2017, and that no new contracts will include the extra 9.8% loading. So all contracts at the end of 2013 had a 9.8% component that had to be gone by 2017. Obviously, because...
Surprised to hear this, considering how consistently good he's been for us. I don't know the details of his trade, what/who did we give up for him?
Wait a minute, so for the last 20 pages of BS you've been posting about wanting the AFL to be truly equal. But you don't care if some teams are disadvantaged?
What?
Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on being disadvantaged by your shitty stadium deal with Etihad?
Because it's too...
Except for Bradshaw (was still being paid even though he technically retired), Seaby, Bolton, Mattner
Morton, Mumford, Lamb, White..
Johnston and Armstrong...
Edit: Forgot Moore and Everitt.
Gee, like flies to a pile of s**t, it didn't take you guys long to find this thread after we dumped all over Geelong tonight.
Enjoy being bitter, while i enjoy our biggest win over Geelong.
Haters gon' hate.
90% of all reserves teams in VFL, SANFL, WAFL could beat the crap out of any NEAFL first grade team. We have enough second graders running around in the AFL as it is with 18 teams nowdays.
Had a quick look at the list of Grogan Medal winners (QAFL brownlow). Two players that won this award...
Good stadium, Normally a reasonable crowd, could see WB or NM, maybe even Melbourne selling a game there. Would be good to see a locals opinion in this thread..
