Yep and back in the 89's/early 90s you could walk into the changerooms underneath before the game too. Loved the old red seat MFC Members section.

MCG has a contract for the GF til 2038. No other ground in Melbourne is suitable. The AFL is not gonna move the GF and the MCC wouldn't let them break their contract anyway

MCC and AFL Members are footy supporters and a lot of the time club members as well.

And lock out half the potential supporters. Will never happen.

The food was alright, the toilets were like the 6th circle of hell. But no different to any other public toilets where thousands of men are drinking beer all day.

There's no need for it. We don't have a problem scheduling games in to the 2 Melbourne stadiums so why spend hundreds of millions building a third? The notion of rebuilding the old suburban home grounds is a nice romantic notion but just not feasible with the amount of games that would be...

When did gate pooling commence?

Only went there once, standing about 20-30 people back on the flank as a 10 year old, was suprisingly able to see most of the game. Don't remember much of the facilities but the hamburgers there were delicious!
