Geez Coxy, how mercenary are the Kings? Can't they get motivated enough to win a title legitimately, they have to get a bookie to bribe them with 250,000 big ones. Pretty poor effort, if that's what they need to win a Championship. :p
No wonder they couldn't win before, no-ones ever...
Wouldn't be too downhearted, Topdog. The Mavs will go a long way this year, I think. If Utah are on the slide, which looks likely from the way they've started, they'll be pushing San Antonio and the T-wolves for their division.
And that's the great thing about the Kings, they promise so much and never deliver. It's hilarious to see them fall over all the time. :D :p A much better comedy than Seinfeld. :D
Coxy, there is about 10 games on ESPN next month, plus a few college games as well. Generally Wed. and Fri. games (Aust time)I actually like watching the college games more, to see who the next generation of NBA players will be.
That depends on how long it takes for him (McKinnon) to get over his knee injury. He was interviewed on Foxsports news during the week and didn't know himself when he'd be back.
LOL, you're a sh1t stirrer, Dogboy. I can just see Jod hunched over his computer now, sweat flying from his brow as he disputes this.
Maybe you should start a poll.
Of course Longley would dominate in a league where there would be 1 or 2 7 footers, he'd have bugger all competition. If he didn't, he'd be more useless than a ashtray on a motorbike. But you can't tell me (and a few others obviously) that he has more basketball skill and nous than Gaze.
Jod, Longley only made it because he was a 7-footer and they are a precious commodity in the NBA. If he hadn't have gone to the Bulls and played with Jordan, he wouldn't have lasted too much longer in the league.
Gaze was a better all-round basketballer and a pure shooter. What stopped him...
Most of the American sports boards are set up for fantasy leagues, not tipping comps. It could probably work with the NFL, though. Anybody know of any such tipping comp?
Here goes:
1. A - Boston
2. 3. Round 1 is best of 5 games
3. 4. Round 2 reverts back to best of 7 games
4. LA Lakers, beaten by Detroit. '87-'88
5. 4 times a season
6. Chicago
7. Washington
8. Miami 0-3 to Charlotte
9. I'll take punt on Smith
10. Denver Nuggets
Do the Kings have the last bid on him, as happens in the AFL here, and if they don't match the bid, he then goes? Personally, I'd like to see him stay in Sacramento, they have the potential to build a team that can go all the way. Besides, it gets too boring if the same sides keep winning...
Webber
Heard or read a report that Chris Webber might end up in Indiana to play with his old college team-mate Jalen Rose. Now that would be something if they could get the fab five back together again.
While we are talking on a b/ball board and there is no threads for other American sports, do any of you have any other favourite pro teams?
Personally, I follow the Packers (NFC), and the Jets (AFC) in the NFL, the Pack because they play in Australia's sporting colours, and the Jets because I...
Always been a Lakers man, when I played in my local town comp. it was for a team called the Lakers and when I started getting interested in the NBA, and found out that's who were named after, I took more interest in them.
