You'd think that this will be a great test of the Wildcats as an organisation. It's got to be one of the best run sporting clubs anywhere. Imagine losing the talent we have and then being able to wheel and deal with little to get a play off team together.

I guess we'll never know if it was a knee jerk reaction. May be the NBL doesn't have the reserves to cover some of the teams that were financially in trouble. The issue is that the league is screwed now.

No one half decent is coming to the NBL next year. We pay less than other countries to begin with but the lifestyle and playing in an English speaking country makes up that difference. Take 50% away from the salary offers for next year and we're in a bit of trouble.

I think the NBL went too early with the pay cuts imo. It's sad because Bryce's post makes it sound like he's little chance of ever returning to the NBL.

I just watched the Wildcats press conference. The NBL players association (and their only remit is the welfare of the players) were happy with the players flying. Sydney was not.

The three guys on NBL Overtime all agreed that there's not a scenario where the King's are awarded the title. The league would have basically zero credibility of the King's are awarded the title.

It was the NBL site. The commissioner of the NBL said that they have received 'unofficial' submissions from each team regarding who should win the title and that they expect more submissions to be received over night. The King's can't be serious can they? Can they?
