Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
How many games a week do ESPN show? My first season with Fox (Lucky now that ONE have booted anything sport) and I watched the quadruple-header, just wondering if they show all the games ESPN show in the USA.
Gonna miss the TNT games though, Fox Sports...
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
Will Fox or ESPN pick up the TNT games then?
Also just checked, and Ten have confirmed that they won't be showing any games on ONE.
They don't want to show any games. They tried to get out of their contract completely during the off-season.
They will show every game on as much of a delay as they possibly can.
A terrible shame as I really enjoyed the NBL last year. Doubt I will watch any games if they are delayed this year...

Good to hear. Hopefully it is live into WA still as I could see it being 7:30pm everywhere.
Yeah the original contract had the amount of games they broadcast increase in the second year so three would sound about right.
But I have fears they will be shown at 2am.:(
Any news on if ONE will still broadcast? I know they wanted to get out of the contract, but no-one else will broadcast.
Can see them showing games after midnight with shocking production.:o
A shame as I very much enjoyed the NBL last season.
Was a great series to watch. Found myself right on the Dallas bandwagon as I can't stand Lebron.
Dirk is right up there as probably my favourite NBA player atm. Such a gun performer and clutch player in the fourth.:thumbsu:
P.S. Can't stand the champions being called "World Champions", but...
Good to keep them. One import spot left if Redhage isn't fit come the start of the season.
Have Melbourne seriously signed Ubaka and Dorsey? Massive for them if true and terrible for Cairns.
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
Only concern for those of us watching on ONE is that last year they showed the games in prime time even though they were delayed 24 hours.
This year sport is not being shown in prime time on ONE, it is a good chance that as well as being delayed by 24...
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
Recorded the game this morning and was going to watch it when I got home. Some stupid bloke on a computer in front of me at uni today was watching the highlights and had the final score plastered in big bold text across the screen.
And there are still people who just flat out won't watch the NBL. Sure the quality is nowhere near the NBA as seen by the first 3 1/2 quarters, but that finish was as good as any finish in the NBA will ever get. Incredible game!:thumbsu:
Dorsey with an amazing shot to stop New Zealand from...
Great win by Cairns, pretty meek effort from the Crocs. Great crowd as well, the atmosphere came across really well on TV and it would have been brilliant to be at.
New Zealand will surely win the finals though, although I reckon they will need three game.
Kevin Lisch cost the Cats any chance with that stupid foul to pull down Wilkinson and then start a bit of biffo which Andre Brown finished off by getting thrown out.
We were within six or seven points before that foul and Brown had just hit a nice jumper. We had a bit of momentum but it was all...
No doubt the Kiwis should win. But I think the Cats can do it again.
IMO whoever gets hot out of Penney & Lisch wins. Game 1 Lisch shot the lights out in the second half to win the game, and today Penney shoots 38 points to win the game.
Glad I got the result spoiled as that would have been two hours of my life wasted tomorrow morning!:p:o
Game three should be a cracker though in Townsville.
Ubaka was mental in that fourth quarter. Just dropping threes all over the place. Deserved to be a winner. Looking forward to watching game two.
Great overtime by Townsville though for the win.
Hopefully the Cats finish NZ tomorrow and I back us for another championship.:thumbsu:
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
Tuesday and Wednesday is ONE's highest rating week night. That is purely because of the shitty documentaries and movies.
That is why they are slowly adding more and more non-sporting programs, to try grab some viewers. Unfortunately basketball just...
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
I doubt it. A live netball game would probably rate higher than an NBA replay.
I am just guessing but I bet the netball is getting better ratings than the NBL as well.
Re: 2010-11 NBA schedule for ESPN & ONEHD
Probably same as last year but will show the East finals live instead of the West. The grand final series will probably be delayed again and the first playoff rounds will probably have three or so games a week.
New Zealand vs Cairns is live onto the east coast Thursday week at 5pm on ONE. Presumably live into other states as well.
But the Friday night final between Townsville and Perth is currently in the ONE schedule at 9:30pm on the east coast which is delayed because of...get this...HARNESS RACING...
