I have no idea how that side is so poor. Allen and Butland alone would make heaps of Premier League sides (OK maybe not Butland) and there's plenty of proven Championship quality there. Surely this is the year that Leeds break the curse?

Well they're definitely way more likely to do that than win the thing or even make Europe. Think their signing strategy is more sustainable than Fulham's though, and unlike Fulham they're not leaving it to the last minute.

Definitely. Hell you could probably argue is even a factor for Bayern and Juve. IMO the best CL structure is having two-three really gun sides that means for proper competition but means enough easy games that you won't fatigue as much.

This was Ipswich for ages (up until this season). From memory Tranmere and Oldham stayed in League One for a long time too.
