Absolute superstar of the game. To do what he did at such a young age and fight through the illnesses he did while getting back on to the playing field is a testament to his talent and drive.
Way too early. RIP big guy.
Yeah that is contentious. If you are ruled to have fouled, they seem to be pretending you don't exist when deciding if the attacker would have scored. Others think they just used poor wording and they meant that Savea would have scored if not for Hatai action. It is clear that Hatai had to...
Savea dived first. There is a difference between a wrist flick and a swat and the vision I saw doesn't clearly show a flick either.

About 1:30.
Yeah, not sure.
To give a penalty try, they had to consider Halai engaged in foul play, and then for the purposes of the try, decide if Halai had not touched the ball, that the try would have been scored. Foul play in this case refers to intentionally sending the ball dead.
The ball bounced...
They were shoulder to shoulder going for the ball. He had no option to kick it and at full extension with his arm, he could not grab the ball and place it. He could have swiped at it in a downward motion I guess in a vain hope to place it but the likely outcome was to knock it towards the dead...
Just watched that and came in here specifically to see if anybody had commented. I can't fathom the rule to start with, but to then say that was definitive with the body pressure he had on him is pathetic. What are you allowed to do in defence if the ball can't go dead off you when you are...
Might have a chance. Huxley started off okay last night with some pinpoint kicking but it all went horribly wrong thereafter. Couldn't buy a kick at goal and then sliced the ball off the side of his boot at a crucial time.
Do points often go over your head? Sporting teams worldwide are often recognised for games they lose rather than games they win. BomberBoy1 has a lasting memory of a Welsh loss and you made the point it was 5 years ago. I use the Collingwood analogy to justify his thinking as Collingwood fans...
First let me congratulate you on your sense of humour. Second, let me reiterate that the point is valid. The passage of time doesn't necessarily forgive the past in sport. Third, I am also a moderator on this board.
LOL, England are revolutionising the game. By the time they are through tries will be so rare, it will be like Harry Potter's Quidditch games where if you catch the snitch (score a try) you automatically win!!
As a Sharks league fan I am a fan of Matt Rogers too but he did have a bit of a shocker with him hands in the open tonight. Wendell went okay, got in quickly for the cleanouts, was defensively sound and made a couple of good runs.
If everyone in this thread could stick to debating points they don't agree with rather than getting personal and having the situation escalate, we could all get along a lot better .... maybe.
Cheers
