chrome has a better UI though
the address bar in firefox has improved, but i still have to press down and enter.. it doesnt populate the actual address bar as u type..
also searching within a page is so much more intuitive on chrome..
but that performance....
just updated firefox on my MBP to 13.0.1.
I think i may migrate to this permanently until they at least think about fixing flash on chrome.
sick of it.
My main problem with chrome at the moment is flash.. On my Mac it his the cpu something shocking.. Firefox handles flash much better. chrome is my preferred browser but occasionally YouTube will crawl to the point where videos aren't even playing smoothly, where Firefox pay fine...
People are leaving IE and going to chrome or Firefox. People are leaving Firefox and going to chrome.. Net result is Firefox remaining stable, IE dropping, and chrome gaining
lets not be fanbois here.. the iphone has its benefits.. i had one for 3 years and i badly miss the music managment and itunes integreation.. 1 click to completely back up your phone, 1 click to restore to a previous state.. i don't see android doing anything like that...
that said, i'm quite...
so i got my first android phone after about 3 years of iphones.
Galaxy S2.
what apps must i get? i've already gone through and downloaded most of the ones i know from iphone.
also does anyone know a good way to manage music, with smart playlists, ratings, playcounts etc. i loved the...
I've read a couple of books on it.. It's generally good. Functionality is fine, but sometimes it does sort of get to you. I find myself having to readjust the brighness every so often to make it feel better on the eyes.. Reading in a dark room you have to pretty much reduce the brightness all...
Yep I'm all over the weekcal issue. I have it but i only use the week view which is so far unaffected. I was commenting on it the second I saw the ios5 announcement. They've pretty much ripped features from a few apps. I didn't think they'd aggressively attack the all makers though, but I did...
+1
I jail broke my phone for this exact reason for a month or so. All I did was install sbsettings and lock info.
I know lockinfo is covered by ios5, but if sbsettings isn't then I will definitely be going android late this year/early next year...
Anyone got the tapatalk app for iPad? Awesome if you use bigfooty and other forums on your iPad... Much better than accessing through the browser...
I almost prefer using tapatalk rather than a browser on a pc/Mac...
i jailbroke my ipad 1 a while back.. found that tehre wasnt much to do with it because most of the jailbreak features are designed for the iphone..
could be wrong though.. im hardly an expect when it comes to jailbreaking..
how often am i going to be visiting 2 sites that have very similar urls? the one time i might go to bigbooby.com heaven forbid i'll have to type it all out.
the other 150 times i go to bigfooty its just b <enter>
i will agree that firefox searches browsing history better in the address bar...
funnily enough, im the complete opposite. the address bar is why i like chrome over firefox.
on firefox often if i type in a one word search string it tries to connect to that domain and fails. chrome instant triggers a search after each keypress so by the time ive finished typing my results...
i'm quite suprised you're experience that kind of issue... i find the OS ridiculously stable.. i reboot probably once a month, and thats usually forced due to a reboot etc...
in the 2 years ive had it i've had 2 software related issues. once i had a dodgy firefox plugin and could never start...
well u get the standard 12 months for free - after that it is quite expensive - i purchased a further 2 years applecare for around $500 if i recall... the service is great though. they fix/replace things no questions asked.
i figured i forked out for one of the higher end MBP's so might as...
mac probably isnt the way to go if ur a hardcore gamers.. whilst most of the mainstream games are probably available (im not a gamer so i dont know) i imagine there'd be some that arent..
networking shouldnt be an issue, unless you're talking about file sharing - can be compatibility issues...
so limewire/frostwire is finally useless
what are people using these days?
nzb seems to be the way to go to download albums, but what about common tracks?
(i'm asking for a friend... who downloads products for eductational purposes before purchasing them :D)
whilst i appreciate there's an apple fanboy contingent that take things to the extreme... there's also an extreme at the other end of the spectrum, and it seems you may be in that extreme. the people that think they're somehow superior to apple users and are in a position to judge the decision...
