Massive band, but I don't particularly like them (and I can't stand Bono). I agree with all those who think the earlier stuff is good but the recent stuff is bland. They play the Irish card well, which has helped their mainstream popularity.

Country Feedback by R.E.M is unreal live. The Roadmovie dvd showing them play it on the Monster tour is magic. Went absolutely nuts when they played it in Melbourne (or was it Sydney, I think it was Melb) a couple years ago.

This might be a bit premature but I think it's their 3rd best behind OK and Kid A (I don't rate The Bends as high as most for some reason). Nude is still my fave but the whole album is full of goodness!

Very good. Unfairly criticised IMO. I prefer Soundgarden, though I prefer Audioslave to RATM.

Forked out 5 quid and am really liking it after only 2 listens. Nude was the first song that got me (I hadn't heard a second of any track before i downloaded it). After another half dozen listens I think i'll be totally in love with this album.

Not expecting another classic to be honest but wow this is great news. I loved Thom's solo album but I'll be surprised if it's all that similar.

Hear hear! Rihanna has a great body but her face is nothing special. Beyonce is the full package.
