I get what you mean. This album had quite a mix of styles which on their own could be quite jarring in an LP. Sometimes I like that contrast in an album and in this one it worked well imo.

Just a brilliant album from a brilliant band. Along with this I really loved Tyrannamen, Friendships and King Gizzards work this year. Another amazing year for music coming out of Melbourne.

Feelin Kinda Free is a twisted pile of awesomedronesness. Love it. Missed their gigs at the Tote recently but got to see them smash out a few new tracks at the Spencer P Jones benefit gig at the Prince a few months back and despite being a heavily produced album the songs translated really well...

Love it. Quite different in many ways but structurally you can tell Gaz is behind it. I'm glad they are mixing it up. Makes them an even more intriguing band.
