They were the driving forces though and the ones that remained relevant after breaking up. Frey and Henley could have reformed the band without the others IMO. Not so much the other way around.
May be greedy but the pecking order was obvious.
Maybe but he wasn't an original. He wanted to be paid equally, credited equally, sing equally despite not being as good as Henley and that whole political meeting sook wasn't very professional.
Joe Walsh was an extreme talent but he was just rapt to be a part of it.
Shame though because...
Just watched History of The Eagles Part 1 and Part 2 on the Arts channel. Required viewing for mine. Just the beginnings and the collaboration and the drama and drugs.
There's a girl, my lord, in a flat bed Ford slowing down to take a look at me. Line sticks with me.
Eagles never considered...
Converted it to wav and put it on my phone. The sound is incredible through my headphones. How am I going to sleep now? Have to lay in bed and listen to this again. So excited. Will definitely have to download other shows.
Downloaded the flac version instead of mp3. Have some terrible static coming through when I play it. Going to transfer it to my phone and see how it plays there, hoping my laptop is crap.
Missed Out In the Street this year and last, saw it in 85. That would be something I want to hear again. The covers are good because most are unlikely to be recorded but I prefer his own stuff.
Looking back at 85 again, Can't Help Falling In Love, Who'll Stop The Rain, Rockin' All Over the...
Looks good and I will no doubt download it soon. Only about 10 songs in common. I'm more looking to relive the audience interaction stuff, although it looks like some might have been cut.
It's probably in here somewhere but what's with the live downloads site? It tells you to select a shipping option where you can presumably choose a USB or a download, and it has no options so you can't proceed.
Not sure whether I want him to or not. Love the fact that he has rediscovered Australia and loves our crowds. I am buying a house though. Pretty sure I won't get away with buying tickets again next year, given the wife can't afford to go to Robbie Williams this year.
Yeah, but you are talking from the perspective of someone who has attended multiple shows across the last two Australia tours. Most don't have the time or money to do that.
I've been to 3 concerts, heard Bobby Jean twice. 1985 and 2014.
They can't change up their entire setlist with the...
Same here. Bruce is more mischievous and laid back with Stevie there. Didn't see it last year and didn't see it in '85. So glad I saw it last night.
I tell ya what though, Jake has come a long way since last year as far as crowd interaction. Really belongs.
I downloaded it on Google play store. Loving it. High Hopes, American Skin, Harry's Place, Just Like Fire Would and TGOTJ my faves at this point but I love the whole album. Just has a more contemporary feel to it and a great sound.
Seriously stuffed up my afternoon plans putting Brisbane back. I was freaking out for a second there. I was on within 5 minutes, had entered my code but it said no seats were available.
^^ Incidentally Church opened for Divinyls in that last concert. Probably the whole tour I guess, but I only realised it was on a day before and scrambled to get a ticket.
They got back together and their final concert was 4 Jan 2008 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. I had no idea this would be the last chance to see them but I was there that night. Only saw them 3 times but the last concert and the Boggo Road concert were two of them so that's pretty good...
Yep. She actually identified with Debbie Harry early in the piece. Chrissy was painfully shy on stage and looked a certain performers to get over it. In the end she invented the rebellious schoolgirl so she could play a part and not feel exposed herself. She noted the monster she created and...

So sad. Easily in my top 5 artists/bands of all tme.
Might have to follow through with my top 40/50 Divinyls songs thread now.
Loved Chrissy. Way too young to die.
The audio for the whole Mar 14 concert is here and whoever did it did a pretty good job. Fairly clear. I love the bit between 42:30 and 44:30 in Ruins, where he finally tames the crowd from yelling out. Very spiritual moment.
Nothing wrong with that at all. Each show is a work of art and all of us would be satisfied by just one show. Some of us are gluttons or would like to be obviously.
I'm fortunate in that I saw the Born In the USA tour and so it didn't matter as much that I didn't hear favourites like Bobby...
Yes I am relieved about that too. Cruyff14 has been quite reserved this whole time, and I wasn't really sure whether he was a fan or not. The lad gives nothing away.
Exactly, you don't begrudge the experience because there is simply not enough time to do them all. You just sit there and watch in envy as the setlists pour in from other shows and curse the fact you couldn't afford to follow the tour around like a groupie.
