    Cover songs that are better than the original

    While it won't be better than the original (imo) Gary Clark JR's rendeition of The Beatles "Come Together" that he's done for the upcoming Justice League movie sounds killer. Up there for mine is definitely Hurt (Johnny Cash) and Higher Ground (RHCP) which have both been mentioned.

    You might dig a band called Great Cynics from the UK (if you haven't heard them already) not exactly alike but theirs some similarities. Excellent live too, I saw them with Smith Street, Pup, Break Even, Hopeless and Endless Heights last year.

    They remind me of a band called Single Mothers and the singer can sound a little bit like Keith from Every Time I Die. Slow Bloom are quality though.
